Many of us are holding a whole lot right now. We have personal, family, community and political issues that we are dealing with simultaneously and regularly. Things can get incredibly heavy.

For folks in helping professions, we have a unique view of the way systems and institutions are harming the people we work with, and this type of work can be incredibly difficult at times. Folks sometimes feel isolated, angry, sad, and powerless among other emotions.

Get It All Out session gives folks the opportunity to share space with others who truly get it. It’s a space to not only vent about the bad, but to share resources, encourage each other, be sad, be hopeful , and remember that we have each other at the end of the day.

Rashni Stanford, LSW @deepspacemind215 and Marvin Toliver, LCSW @reimagineculture_llc will be hosting this virtual space on Wed. Oct 14th at 7:30pm EST/4:30pm PST.

It will be “Pay What You Can” with a suggested donation of $15. Click the link in my bio to purchase tickets or the link in my IG Story.

Again, this will be a virtual session and the Zoom link will be sent the morning of the event.

With so much going on, Ras Stanford, LSW of @deepspacemind215 and myself wanted to provide some support spaces for clinicians, helpers, and other care workers.

If you’re in the Philadelphia area, we’re hosting a “Care worker Refueling Circle” TOMORROW 10/7 at 5:30pm EST. This is a space where care workers refuel themselves through building connections, sharing burdens, and building skills toward resilience and readiness. This is an in-person event and refreshments will be provided.

And if you’re not in the Philly area, we’re providing a VIRTUAL space called “Get it All Out” where helpers, clinicians and care workers can vent, share resources, and build community. This will be Wed. Oct 14th at 7:30pm EST/4:30pm PST.

You can reserve your spot for one or both of these events using the linktree in my bio.

As a culminating event for our participation in the city's Climate Resilience Partnership Program, this event will unveil the community-developed Climate Resilience Toolkit, and feature workshops, performances, and facetime with resilience and readiness building organizations and initiatives.
November 14th at Cobbs Creek Johnny Sample Recreation Center.

Careworker Refueling Circle for Philly Care Workers

Join Rashni Stanford [Deep Space Mind.215] and Marvin Toliver [Reimagine Culture LLC and Dear Black Man, You Good?] and Philly neighbors who work in helping professions and caregiving roles as we refuel ourselves through building connection, sharing burdens, and building skills towards resilience and readiness.

This space is conscious of the moral injury of working in non-profit, healthcare, and organizing settings, and centers the lived experience of those experiencing mental health challenges including trauma and chronic stress related to care work.

This in person engagement will include snacks, and drink. This event will not feature dedicarted childcare, but space is available for older children to complete homework or relax.

Join us this upcoming Saturday for the 2nd annual Healing Justice Fair!

We will have lots of workshops and activites as well as community resources and giveaways. We will be joined by various organizations on the flier and more! We will be joined by artists performances of poetry and song. Last year was a blast so come out and be apart of this day.

Thank you to all our neighbors who broke bread with us to bless our space this week. If you missed our open house or want to support our work, join us TONIGHT for happy hour at @twolocals Brewery.
