POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Many of us are holding a whole lot right now. We have personal, family, community and political issues that we are dealing with simultaneously and regularly. Things can get incredibly heavy.

For folks in helping professions, we have a unique view of the way systems and institutions are harming the people we work with, and this type of work can be incredibly difficult at times. Folks sometimes feel isolated, angry, sad, and powerless among other emotions.

Get It All Out session gives folks the opportunity to share space with others who truly get it. It’s a space to not only vent about the bad, but to share resources, encourage each other, be sad, be hopeful , and remember that we have each other at the end of the day.

Rashni Stanford, LSW @deepspacemind215 and Marvin Toliver, LCSW @reimagineculture_llc will be hosting this virtual space on Wed. Oct 14th at 7:30pm EST/4:30pm PST.

It will be “Pay What You Can” with a suggested donation of $15. Click the link in my bio to purchase tickets or the link in my IG Story.

Again, this will be a virtual session and the Zoom link will be sent the morning of the event.

We hope to see you there!

With so much going on, Ras Stanford, LSW of @deepspacemind215 and myself wanted to provide some support spaces for clinicians, helpers, and other care workers.

If you’re in the Philadelphia area, we’re hosting a “Care worker Refueling Circle” TOMORROW 10/7 at 5:30pm EST. This is a space where care workers refuel themselves through building connections, sharing burdens, and building skills toward resilience and readiness. This is an in-person event and refreshments will be provided.

And if you’re not in the Philly area, we’re providing a VIRTUAL space called “Get it All Out” where helpers, clinicians and care workers can vent, share resources, and build community. This will be Wed. Oct 14th at 7:30pm EST/4:30pm PST.

You can reserve your spot for one or both of these events using the linktree in my bio.

Let us know if there are any questions and we look forward to sharing spaces with yall!

Black Men Speak would not be possible without the incredible partners and sponsors who believe in this vision and chose to invest in it.

Because of your support we’re able to create a space where Black men are seen, heard, celebrated, and loved. A space filled with laughter, storytelling, art, connection, and the kind of joy that stays with people long after the event.

As we prepare to kick off Juneteenth weekend together, we want to take a moment to recognize the organizations and businesses helping make this event a reality. Your commitment to community, culture, and meaningful experiences does not go unnoticed. Thank you for standing with us and helping us create a night that centers, honors, and celebrates Black Men.

Please join us in showing some love to our amazing sponsor @deepspacemind215

Y’all, there is A LOT of bullsh*t going on in the world, and in some of our personal lives. As therapists/helpers, we’re typically the ones people come to when they’re struggling, grieving, overwhelmed, or trying to make sense of life. We also do a very good job of making sure everyone else is okay.

But who’s checking on us?

Join Rashni Stanford, LSW of Deep Space Mind @deepspacemind215 and myself for a virtual healing space where therapists can slow down, connect, vent, laugh, cry and just be in supportive community with one another.

We’re hosting this virtual session next Wednesday June 10th at 8pm EST/5pm PST and there is a minimum donation of $10.
*100% of your donation will be to support @dearblackman_yougood in their mission to support Black men’s mental health.

To reserve your space, click the linktree in my bio. Hope to see you next week!

Also, Tag a therapist who might need this space.

Joy is a strategy and a birthright.

The Disability Inclusion Fund and Black Led Movement Fund awarded $1 million in Joy Grants to the Black disabled organizers building the futures we all deserve. Futures where rest, care, community, and joy are at the core of everything. We’re proud to resource the nurturing conditions movements need to thrive!
