How are we raising AIs? We talk about AIs as just mechanical tools we’re using. As if they’re industrial-era toasters, steam engines, or coffee machines. But those fixed-purpose machines merely automate muscle, labor. They aren’t part of the social fabric. My question β€œHow’s your parenting?”is existentially crucial. The conceptual paradigm is fleshed out in Raising AI from MIT Press (Jun 2025 hardcover/e-book, Jun 2026 paperback) and Penguin Random House (Sep 2026 audiobook).
