🎧Presenting: dj common judgment

dj common judgment is a first generation Jamaican-American poet and community actor from Queens, NY.
They currently live in Jacksonville, FL and serve as the Communications Committee Chair for the Jacksonville Community Action Committee (JCAC).
They are a selector with the revolutionary social gatherings of Black liberation movements across time in the back of their mind; from juke joints & salons of the 1920’s to dancehalls & project parties of the 1980’s and 1990’s.
Their queue is an ode to our musical ancestors with classic house jams & legendary basement tunes, and honors our imagined future with hip-hop and fusion records by the girls, gays and theys of the global majority.
