Congrats to the boys on taking 2nd and 3rd at nationals today in Hammer.

A year ago they placed 11th and 19th at 40m and 48m in the same competition so has been amazing to see how much progress they’ve been able to make in such a short time. Been incredibly lucky to coach both of these men and can’t wait to see where the sport takes them in college

@jwillis_throws celebrating his one year Hammer anniversary in his final prep before nationals.

One year ago, James had never touched a hammer. Now he is amongst the top athletes in the country and will throw at the D1 level because of taking a chance on a new event. If you want to try Hammer and see what could happen, please DM as we are taking new athletes in the C/O 27 for online and in person coaching.

61.94 for @belchthrows in his first hammer comp in a few months. 5m PR and plenty more on the table for nationals coming up

51.34 for Jr. @zv.throws in his first ever Hammer comp and 4th time throwing it, with maybe 50 throws in his life. Hammer throwing doesn’t need to be the complex event so many portray it as for a beginner. Another one converted to the dark side

Long time between throwing videos but amongst working, coaching @downunderthrows and all else life entails hammer training has still found a place to exist. 4 consecutive comps with PR’s and a nice jump today to move to #7 in the Commonwealth rankings and #8 Australian All Time
