The past two days at the Midwest Trumpet Festival with my students has been a much needed mid-semester boost. This performance was a beautiful way to end the festival with @davidamlung and @kristyamezines I’ll be doing a better recap tomorrow, but I thought I’d share this moment with you. taken in Bicknell Family Center for the Arts by @drbenhay

Happy birthday to my favorite person @okestknitter! She’s the absolute best partner I could have on this adventure and I’m grateful for her every single day. If you get a chance, make sure to send her a birthday message or give her a birthday hug. She deserves all of the birthday love! by @drbenhay

Twenty years since we lost my dad. There’s far too much to say for a social media post, but this anniversary has been surprisingly difficult for everyone. Give your loved ones an extra hug today and enjoy the time you have together. Miss you, Dad. by @drbenhay

Reflecting on the past week of performances and teaching with @zenbrass. I’m so grateful for these people and all of the folks who supported us this week. This tour has been the culmination of years of work from all of these amazing colleagues and has been very meaningful for me. If you haven’t heard our new album “Voices of Land and Spirit” make sure to check us out on all the platforms. Thank you, Zen Brass! taken in Boston Avenue United Methodist Church by @drbenhay
