Another Zen Brass tour is in the books, and what a week it was. Thanks to everyone who came out to listen and support us at our performances in Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma!

I did manage to capture our encore performance of “Shenandoah” at our final concert at the unbelievably beautiful Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Enjoy!

Summer of 2026 has been the best summer of my life. I'll remember all of the summer nights (and mornings).

I've always had a dream of directing and putting together a big band. I've always had a dream of speaking on the microphone to an audience. I've always had a dream, and I was finally able to live it. Without my friends, teachers, the venues to perform in, and @makemusicmuskogee for helping us throughout our big band season, none of this would've been possible, and I'm very grateful for everyone. We've had four concerts over the summer, and I love every concert. It has always been my dream to do everything I was able to do this summer, and I can't wait to do it again very soon.

I was invited to play with the Muskogee Community Band, and I loved every moment of it. The ensemble sounded great, and the people were great as well! I got to play beside my teachers, friends, and made new friends as well! This was my first time performing with the Muskogee Community Band, and I hope to play with this fantastic group again!

I've been performing a lot with @themoriahnicholsonjazzcombo a whole bunch recently, and I love performing with this fantastic group every single time. I love all the moments I got to spend with them, all the house rehearsals, and all the gigs we have together. We have been performing all over Muskogee, and the best part is that it's not over yet, more to come soon.....

I've gone back to camp this year! I was invited by my friends Landon and Allison to come to the Jazz Summit down in Clarmore. Miguel was able to take me there every day of the week, so without him, I wouldn't have been able to have all this fun! It was a great time getting to play with this awesome combo and big band, and I got to see people I haven't seen in a long time.

This has been my first time playing in the OBA All-Star Jazz Band, and I loved every moment of it. The band was great, the people were great, and I made some new friends! The hotel was really nice, I need to come back again very soon.

I usually only post yearly, but I couldn't keep myself from posting about summer. Maybe I'll start posting each season, maybe 4 posts a year. I hope to see you soon!
