A small afternoon ritual 🍵

I stopped by @kichizoh_official in Fukuoka and picked out a seasonal sweet to pair with our Yame Okumidori matcha.

The sweetness of wagashi balances the bitterness and umami of matcha so beautifully.

Exploring @fuku.marche and some of the local flavors of Kyushu 🍵

I tried tea, curry, local rice, and so many great finds from local vendors. And of course, the wakoucha soft serve from @tsunagilabo

Japanese black tea in soft serve form — and it was seriously tea-forward.

One of my favorite parts of living in Kyushu is discovering tea in unexpected ways.

A gentle reminder not to underestimate sparkling water 😂

I tried cold-brewing our organic sencha directly in a bottle of sparkling water—and despite the dramatic opening, it turned out crisp, refreshing, and surprisingly smooth.

To make it:
🍃Add about 5g of sencha to a cold 500ml bottle of sparkling water
🍃Refrigerate for several hours to overnight.
🍃 Open very slowly (clearly, I learned this part the hard way)
🍃Strain over ice and enjoy

No sweetener—just sencha and bubbles.
