Goodbye gosset st!!

Here is to all the birthdays celebrated, so much food made and had, goodbyes and welcomes, films and tv watched, tattoos done, sewing, painting, creating, so many laughs and so many cries, delicious drinks and the best company.

This is silly maybe but thank you to all who visited this place I called home for the past couple years. Thank you because you made it home. Your energies made it a little more warm every time you came.

Vasco's dj deck that fit perfectly into the tv slot that made us boogie all night... it is my confusion that no neighbor ever complained. It feels bittersweet to leave here so here are some of the memories.

You made the idea of home for me, I hope your new habitors make their home with you too.

London-based, but constantly moving between México and Istanbul.

@masamasa.london is a travelling table by @pedroresendezz, @nicolas.gilly and @durubebekoglu, built around a simple truth: Mexican food heritage and Anatolian kitchen instincts share far more than a few ingredients.

For one night only Masa Masa delivers tortillas, chiles and a lot of cheese inspired by the late night comfort food of İstanbul and Mexico City.

Behind the bar, we’ve put together three special drinks for the evening: mezcal with fermented heat, a street-style michelada, and an ice-cold rakı dessert pour.

Masa Masa, @durubebekoglu @pedroresendezz @nicolas.gilly’nin birlikte taşıdığı, Meksika ve Türkiye’nin yemek kültürlerini bir araya getiren gezen bir masa.

Türkçede masa bildiğimiz masa, İspanyolcada ise masa “hamur” demek. Biri bizi bir araya getiren yer, diğeri ise bir araya gelmemizi sağlayan araç.

Masa Masa bu sefer 12 Eylül’de Delicatessen’in masasına oturuyor.

Masa Masa is a travelling table brought together by @durubebekoglu @pedroresendezz @nicolas.gilly, bringing the food cultures of Mexico and Türkiye together.

In Turkish, masa means “table”; in Spanish, masa means “dough”. One is the space of comunion, the other the process that makes it possible.

This time, Masa Masa takes a seat at Delicatessen’s table on 12 September.

Long time planning and coming we are finally making our way over to Turkey for two very special events next week. @tavern____ and @delicatessenist thank you very much for hosting us!

3 generations of women. I asked my mom and my grandmother to come together to execute a menu I dreamt of based off of some childhood favorites, some cravings and most importantly my ever evolving taste of mouth (which is a saying that doesn't exist in english- sorry!)

I don't have the most brilliant photos of each dishes but I will do my best to walk you through the menu

Cherry oil on top of Ayran Aşı Çorbası (a cold yogurt made for hot summer days soup with barley and chickpeas) ours has Basil on top and some cherries inside for a breath and tang

Annem ile anneannem facetimeda Minnie Mouse ayakkabını giymişsin dedi. Ben bu ışıkta ayakkabımın gölgesini görene kadar ne anlatıyorlar anlamamıştım. by @durubebekoglu

22 Ağustos akşamında annem ve anneannemle mutfaktayız. 3 kız mutfakta. Ben mutfağa ilk onlarla girdim. Annemin yanında oturup yeşil soğan kemirdim. Anneannemle her yaz cingen pilavı yaptım. Beraber hayali yemek yediğimiz oyunlar oynadık. Bir menümüz var ama bol sürprizli bir gece olacak. Konuşmalar, müzik, annemin botanik likörleri ile dolu bir gece.
