POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For years, the police in Ukraine have been fighting on the frontlines. Ukraine has the only police force in the world fighting hand-in-hand with the military on the frontlines.

In this three-part docuseries, we see multiple aspects of the police’s war effort recorded from Devin’s perspective after having followed them for nearly a year. Described as “the most intense ride-along,” you will see some of the most intense aspects of the war in Ukraine and the police officers who, by and large, take it upon themselves to trade in their service weapons for larger and more lethal means of defending their country.

@devinsanluis followed multiple units, including the Khyzhak and Liut brigades as well as the “White Angels” special purpose unit of the Donetsk region. Part 1 is available now on our Patreon and will be released for the public in the coming weeks! taken in Donetsk Oblast by @eastwestfm

East/West FM is a media organization being established by accomplished photojournalist Devin Woodall (
@devinsanluis ), award-winning media producer Anastasiya Paraskevova, and social media star Corrie Nieto (
@corrie.ua ).

For years, the team has observed how larger news organizations have neglected stories where people are urgently seeking media attention. They have witnessed apathetic or unqualified reporters overlook remarkable narratives and seen how the few who genuinely care face an uphill battle.

Fewer journalists are available to cover the significant events unfolding around us, and with raising concerns about the emergence of so-called "influencer journalists." We decided to take action. We established East/West FM!

A documentary studio focused on the stories and topics that desperately need attention here in Ukraine. We focus on cultural stories and the exploration of Ukraine's soft power, frontline reporting from areas others can't or won't go, and deeper documentaries hitting on issues that often get ignored.

Movement on the front is very difficult.

While traveling to position in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka with the Khyzhak Brigade back in March of 2026 the East/West field team came under attack with our armored vehicle being hit and multiple FPV drones following as the Police Officers of the Khyzhak Brigade fought them off.

⚡️ From Facebook to the frontlines: How Russia uses the social network to traffic humans into its war.

Russia has set up a network of recruiting services to traffic impoverished people from South America by posting and pursuing them on Facebook job posting groups. Editor-in-chief and lead reporter @devinsanluis was invited to a frontline site to speak with two recently captured Colombians who described how they were trafficked, forced at gunpoint to sign contracts in languages they don’t understand, used as cannon fodder, and either left for dead or survived the Russians attempt to kill them. taken in Ukraine by @eastwestfm

Trump posting about an “energy ceasefire” has only seen the Russians attacking Ukraine more, especially Kharkiv as on the night of October 12 saw a mass attack against the city.

During tonight’s attack against Kharkiv Devin was on scene for one of the strikes and documented what has taken place Attacks like this will only increase as the U.S. opens the door for Russia to sell its diesel and use that money to fund its war machine.

Editor-in-chief and lead reporter @devinsanluis reports from one of these attack sites in Kharkiv. taken in Kharkiv, Ukraine by @eastwestfm

Following reported strikes on three Yandex data centers in Russia, Cloudflare Radar data showed a dramatic decline in automated traffic associated with Yandex’s network.

Meanwhile, social media users have reported noticing fewer suspected Russian bots and far-right accounts online, including those supporting Germany’s AfD party.

While a direct connection between the strikes and political bot activity hasn’t been confirmed, the timing has raised questions about Russia’s online influence operations. by @eastwestfm
