Dear Participants, We are pleased to announce that after 51 Registrations and 23 entries from students of Fine Arts & Architecture across 23 Tertiary institutions we now have our Winners - IT WAS A TIE.

Our team if 4 Jurors accessed the entries based on the following metrics:
1. Creativity (innovative concept)
2. Technique (skills and principles adopted in the sketch)
3. Adherance to the brief (does the sketch interpreted the competition brief and is it worthy of being used for a Freehand Sketch Workbook Cover)
4. Presentation Style

We will be revealing the Runner Ups and sharing more feedback about the individual submissions so that you understand the Jurors decision.
We will also share update about the progress of the Freehand Sketch WorkBook in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this competion. Watvh this space for more competitions coming.

We are launching this Freehand Sketch Book Competition to commemorate the 2026 World Book Day happening today being April 23rd 2026.

This competition is FREE and open only to students of Fine Arts & Architecture in Nigerian institutions.

Competition Guidelines:
1. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
2. ⁠Group submissions will not be acknowledged.
3. ⁠Entries must be original designs sketched by freehand on plain white paper. No Digital drafts will be accepted.

5. To submit you entries, send your drawing in high resolution in pdf or png format via email to ebae_empire@yahoo.com.

This competition spans from April 23rd 2026 - May 25th 2026 by 11:59pm.
