🎃 Low waste Halloween 🎃 I had so much fun decorating pumpkins this year with my family, but did you know that every year over a quarter of all Halloween pumpkins in the UK end up being thrown away… so much food waste! Just because they say carving pumpkin doesn’t mean they’re not good to eat. I roasted these first before turning them into soup and purée for my PSL and it retained lots of flavour ☕️ 🍂 Check out all the delicious ways we are going to use our pumpkins, and swipe to see our yummy roasted pumpkin seeds! See below for recipe 🧡 Roasted seeds recipe - pat dry seeds - spray with oil - mix with 1tsp paprika, 1tsp garlic - add a pinch of pepper and salt - roast for 15 mins at 160 degrees What are your fav ways to use up your pumpkins? ✨ by @eco_choices_

More stretching & Less Stressing Flexibility is definitely something that you can lose quickly - I’ve found this out the hard way as I used to be able to grab my foot with both hands and as you can see now - I can only do one 😞 But, it’s also something you can gain back quickly as well if you put in the right amount of dedication!! What are your favourite stretches to do to help with flexibility? by @eco_choices_
Fail proof extra firm, crispy tofu 🤤 >>>>> Im personally not a fan of soft tofu so I’ve been on the hunt for an extra firm tofu recipe for a while... and I have finally found one! Trust me this does not disappoint 🧡 Ingredients - Firm tofu - Soy sauce - Honey - Sesame Seeds - Spring Onion Directions - First drain and blot the tofu - In a box freeze for at least 2 hrs - remove from freezer and boil for 20mins (this May sound counterproductive but it works!) - Once boiled pat dry and cut into cubes - Add to a frying pan along with oil, soy sauce and honey - Allow to brown on both sides for 10mins - Finally remove from heat and top with sesame seeds and spring onion Serve with rice or noodles - or enjoy on their own! by @eco_choices_
After a long period of inactivity, just generally enjoying life, I decided it was time to get back to @eco_choices_ 🍃 Taking breaks from social media can be great for your mental health and help you refocus on real life. As a volunteer for a suicide helpline and working with young people I’ve seen first hand how social media can take a toll. Make sure you do what works for you and forget about likes and algorithms! Whilst I’ve been offline I’ve been dedicating some of my time to my business and getting my environmental skincare products on Etsy 😊 There’s a link in my bio where you can find a link to my products! All are #vegan , #envrionmentallyfriendly and #lowwaste . I use plastic free packaging and my items are shipped in compostable and reusable packaging made from plant starch! If you have any questions - let me know 💕 by @eco_choices_

~ How to have a sustainable day at the beach 🌴🌊🐚☀️ ~ 1. Take a reusable bag to clean up all your rubbish after - just taking 2 mins to leave no trace saves the ocean so much damage, also you can pick up any rubbish you do see. You see it all the time on social media but #takethreeforthesea and help reduce plastic waste 2. Bring reusable cutlery - (no you don’t need to buy a new bamboo set, you’re ones from home are just fine) 3. Wear sunscreen that does not pollute the sea - make sure you get your sun protection but at the same time ensure you are protecting the sealife. There are plenty of ocean friendly sunscreen brands - check the Independent’s article on the best eco friendly sunscreen 2020 4. Avoid taking plastic - plastic bags and bottles can easily be blown away and end up in the sea, opt for reusable options to save money and the environment! by @eco_choices_
~ Repurposing ~ definitely my favourite R Swipe to see how handy my old soy sauce glass bottle has become! What a cute way to repurpose and grow new life 🌱 #philodendroncutie by @eco_choices_
