LIBRARY OF BABEL

Presented by Maria (@_factorygirl_) & Bea (@beasecchia)

Supported and hosted by @indebt location West
Additional support by @nevera.soundsystem @titsout4snacks

In collaboration with other collectives, Ecosistema presents: Library of Babel

Taking inspiration from the eponymous short story by Jorge Luis Borges, this group show explores the challenges presented by an excess of information and the limitations of language. Through installations, performances, live music and a philosophical symposium, we will explore experimental archival practices and the concept of a living library. As the day progresses, our agenda will spiral down the steps of Babel into an orchestrated chaos. We will begin with performances and lectures and end the night with a concert, allowing the artists to slowly layer their distinct musical voices while the audience dances. taken in Spaarndammerstraat by @ecosistema.it

Ecosistema presents: Intersezioni Immaginarie

Bea Secchia and Andrea Bellenghi present their first event as a collective.

The interaction of their visual and musical work come alive in an evening dedicated to artistic experimentation in pure form.

In this edition, Andrea Costanza will do a set inspired by the music video for his EP Natività: the listeners will be brought through the historical path of his musical influences.

Sil Zeigarnik and Lê Văn Hùng will lead a workshop on analogue collage techniques, guiding a transformation of personal stories to create collective storytelling through manipulation of tactile media.

The event will be featuring a live performance by Chupwallah on imaginary landscapes, the screening of Andrea Costanza’s music video leading to middle-eastern and Indonesian folk music in a B2B with Nymph D’Sphynx, and Wali with a closing set.

We are looking back at the past trying to conceptualize the future we want for ourselves.
