For @coalitiononhomelessness @cohartauction

help support coalition’s campaigns and mission to advocate for housing justice, human rights, and solutions to homelessness in San Francisco! You can make a direct impact on the fight for housing and dignity for all.

This is my second painting of the El Rosa Hotel—one of the few spaces that would accept trans women in the TL for an overnight room in the 60s

I’ve updated my website! edyerart.com (link in profile). Now you can see high quality photos and behind the scenes shots of my mural, “Your help, your hands, and your hearts are always needed” acrylic on wall, 54 x 13 ft, 2025. For @comptonscafeteriariot , presented by the @tenderloinmuseum.

There is an about page, which lists a lot of information! The about page shows: everyone who helped on the mural (with a special shout out to @brandonjosephbaker for documenting the finished piece for me!), a poem I wrote while designing the mural, and a bit of history about parts of the design.

What I can’t put on the about page, and what is hard to put in words and describe here, is the incredible joy and awe I felt while working on this mural with everyone. Every day felt like a gift—that I got to do my favorite things with the most amazing people. The Tenderloin is my favorite place in the city; it has welcomed me with open arms. I hope this mural goes a little way to saying thank you and giving back to this wonderful place.

And because I literally couldn’t have made it without them, I want to share everyone who helped make this mural possible again:

Much love to @turkxtaylor for helping me when I was researching for the mural for answering so many of my questions! Also Transition Times was a wonderful resource! Highly recommend reading—you can get a copy from the shop on their site turkxtaylor.net

@emilylfromm for all the advice you gave me. You taught me SO MUCH and have been so encouraging and supportive.

Special thank you to Mark and everyone at @comptonscafeteriariot for believing in me
@typo_daddy for all of your love and support
@tenderloinmuseum and Alex for getting it to all come together

@galasadurni_artist who is always pushing me to do my best. Your love and support means the world to me. You’re the best.

what treasures will i find today
Acrylic on canvas, 24x30”, 2026

An ode to the Portsmouth Square pedestrian bridge.
I have many fond memories of this space, and always found the architecture of it interesting. I remember hanging out on it until the sun came up with my friend Jonathan @jtsw as we worked on his murals for the Chinese Culture Center. I remember early mornings people watching and painting while waiting for my shift to begin over at Artist and Craftsman in North Beach. I remember the first time I was in SF, eating at the corner of the park with my friend Penn. I’m sure you have your own memories here if you’ve lived in SF for any amount of time.

If you would like to visit this bridge one last time before it is demolished, you have until July 31st.

I felt incredibly lucky, my friend Jonathan recently visited and we were able to walk over to the bridge and see it together one last time before it’s gone.

“The main bridge demolition activities over Kearny Street and at the Hilton Hotel will begin on Friday, July 31. This work is expected to last one week through Monday, August 10, 5:00 a.m.”

This painting will be on view and available for purchase @swiggallerysf , the opening reception is tonight, Friday 7/10, from 5-9 pm.

Tonight’s the night! 🔥 5~9 at @swiggallerysf . Very excited to be showing work alongside @edyer.art , our very first duo show. When E and I are not watching artist videos or taking walks for inspiration, we’re often painting and attempting to push the envelope. Many nights we spent discussing this show.

Thank you to SWIG for having us and for filling your space with creativity and to John for arranging and helping us with the show. And a shout out to @hangartsf for being a supporter of my work.

Hope to see you there! 🍻 by @edyer.art

When the light shines through
Acrylic on canvas, 24x30”, 2026.
Available at “Words in the fog”, a duo show with me and @galasadurni at @swiggallerysf

Very happy with how this painting turned out! It’s the view from a small window outside our apartment. It’s a somewhat private piece; I love being able to see Sutro from my apartment. Because of the fog, often you don’t see much of Sutro. The idea of it is there. I wanted to try to capture Sutro Tower in a different way than I see most people, where it’s all about the tower, and its color—i wanted this to be about the shift between the tower’s absence and presence; taking it away from being the center of the image. Letting the fog give Sutro a big hug.

I lost count how many layers of wash I did on this one.

Thank you for walking with me on this foggy afternoon

We're pleased to announce our next exhibit "Words In The Fog," a duo show by San Francisco artists @galasadurni and @edyer.art that opens next Friday, July 10th.

E and Gala, both partners in life and in art come together for a show about words, ideas — and fog. While a painting of E's is hugged in a gray layered fog, Gala thinks about what it means for the fog to be lifted.

The opening reception will take place from 5-9pm, and the exhibit will then be on view until Sunday, August 9th and can be viewed during SWIG's weekly happy hour from 5-9 on Wednesdays through Sundays (or by appointment).

For any and all inquiries about the work in this collection, or to request the price list when it becomes available, please contact John at mothbellygallery@gmail.com taken in San Francisco, California by @edyer.art

Behind The Scenes with @edyer.art
A warm welcome into her studio to experience the workings of
𝓢𝓽𝓪𝔂 𝓛𝓲𝓽 𝓦𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓮 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓲𝓷𝓭 𝓑𝓵𝓸𝔀𝓼

We first asked E to do a show with us three years ago. Life happened, a family grew, and now we're finally lucky enough to share Stay Lit While the Wind Blows.

This exhibition means so much to us. It reflects the dedication of artists who continue to observe, remember, and create through their experiences in San Francisco. We're honored to have this work in our space and to be surrounded by a community that never stops finding meaningful ways to tell its story.
