Saving animals and the planet one day at a time

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The DC area is filled with Swans! 🦢 We really enjoyed connecting with VLGS alumni and meeting 3L Online Hybrid Juris Doctor (OHJD) students in Washington, D.C. last week. There is a deep connection between VLGS and our nation's Capital with alumni working in policy, government agencies, and law firms impacting federal protections for animals and the environment. OHJD students came to DC to meet each other and many of the VLGS alums in the area. Among those in attendance were several animal law and policy advocates who are currently working in animal protection and conservation, including Willow Hogan @adkowlgirl and Scott Hooper.

As a student at ALPI, you have access to a wide connection of animal law and policy professionals in major cities like DC and across the country. Whether you are on campus, online, or hybrid, there are many opportunities to connect with other Swans!

Posting this loving picture in honor of my late, great Nini's birthday 💜🙏 She would have been 96 years old today, and I'm so grateful I could be there for her 93rd birthday at Brightview back in 2020. It was a difficult year and every moment I had with my bestie was a bright spot, as I'm sure so many of us can relate. I am grateful for the time I had with her. In her honor, I'm raising money for the @alzassociation ahead of the #EndAlz walk I'll be doing with my dad and my aunts this #October. If you would like to honor a loved one who is living with or lived with #Alzheimer's or #dementia, please #donate to our team as we search for a #cure and #support #caregivers everywhere! 💜🙏

The Big Cat Public Safety JUST PASSED the U.S. House of Representatives!! 🐯🐆🦁🐅🍾🥂 I am so excited about this HUGE WIN for big cats and their cubs across the United States. 🎉😻 Thank you to everyone who reached out to their members.
Now it's time to call your Senators and tell them you want them to cosponsor the Big Cat Public Safety Act (S. 2561) and pass it before the end of the year! Let's get this over the finish line. 🥳🐯
