FLORENCE, AL - Ever tried a MULAS or BIRRIA TACO? If not, Rancho in Downtown Florence is a great place to start!

A mula is a crispy, cheesy tortilla loaded with meat and all the good stuff, kind of like a quesadilla meets a taco. 🤤

Birria tacos are packed with slow-cooked, tender, seasoned beef, tucked into tortillas dipped in flavorful red consommé and grilled until crispy. Make sure you dip them in that rich consommé broth before every bite.

SHEFFIELD, AL - Hey Shoals and @itsjawzfoodreviews try Yummy Wings in Sheffield, AL for the first time.

I finally linked up with Jawz and we got to learn about each other's background and talked local Shoals food while trying a little bit of everything at Yummy Wings.

We got into everything from honey BBQ and buffalo wings to Cajun ranch fries, a Philly cheesesteak, garlic parmesan wings and crispy tilapia. And if there's one thing that stood out, it's the seasoning. Jawz put everything to the test, breaking down the flavors, the crunch and what makes a good wing.

Of course, we couldn't leave without finding out how Jawz rated Yummy Wings out of 10 👀

We also got some of his recommendations for other spots around the Shoals, including @fourthplanetbbq @souloftheshoals and Grumpy’s Place

SHEFFIELD, AL - Watch Josh Russell put together a beautiful Texas-style barbecue tray 🔥👌

There’s an art to putting together a proper Texas-style BBQ tray, and Josh from Russell BBQ has taken the time to learn it.

He actually traveled to take a class on Texas-style BBQ and meat preparation, learning the techniques behind everything from the cook to the way the meat is sliced and presented.

My personal favorites here are the pork belly burnt ends, smoked chicken, and the loaded brisket mac bowl 🤤

TUSCUMBIA, AL 📍 The Loadout GRAND OPENING is this Saturday!

This spot started as a food truck and has now moved into a brick and mortar in Tuscumbia, and after trying a few things… there were no misses.

🍗 Loaded Nashville Hot Chicken Baked Potato
🌽 Mexican Street Corn Nachos
🥓 Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap
🍋 Fresh Squeezed Lemonade (Swamp Juice)

I'd order all these again pending on what I'm craving, but the chicken bacon ranch wrap was probably my favorite. The garlic butter crisp on the tortilla was SO good.

The Loadout is having their Grand Opening this Saturday, so go check them out and show them some love!
