FLORENCE, AL - Ever tried a MULAS or BIRRIA TACO? If not, Rancho in Downtown Florence is a great place to start!

A mula is a crispy, cheesy tortilla loaded with meat and all the good stuff, kind of like a quesadilla meets a taco. 🤤

Birria tacos are packed with slow-cooked, tender, seasoned beef, tucked into tortillas dipped in flavorful red consommé and grilled until crispy. Make sure you dip them in that rich consommé broth before every bite.

Both have become hugely popular for a reason. Crispy tortillas, melted cheese, tender meat, and BIG flavor. 🔥

Episode 9 - The Case of the Storm-Damaged Roof

After a hailstorm rolled through the Shoals, the seller called Butch and Lydia to check on the roof while they were out of town. Butch didn’t waste a second springing into action… maybe a little too quickly. 😂

SHEFFIELD, AL - Hey Shoals and @itsjawzfoodreviews try Yummy Wings in Sheffield, AL for the first time.

I finally linked up with Jawz and we got to learn about each other's background and talked local Shoals food while trying a little bit of everything at Yummy Wings.

We got into everything from honey BBQ and buffalo wings to Cajun ranch fries, a Philly cheesesteak, garlic parmesan wings and crispy tilapia. And if there's one thing that stood out, it's the seasoning. Jawz put everything to the test, breaking down the flavors, the crunch and what makes a good wing.

Of course, we couldn't leave without finding out how Jawz rated Yummy Wings out of 10 👀

We also got some of his recommendations for other spots around the Shoals, including @fourthplanetbbq @souloftheshoals and Grumpy’s Place

Big thanks to Jawz for linking up with us and making this one happen. We've got a feeling this won't be the last time!

If you're in Sheffield, make sure to stop by Yummy Wings and show them some love!

MUSCLE SHOALS, AL - The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in the Shoals! ☕️

Lydia Collins sits down with Easton, owner of The Forge Coffeehouse in Muscle Shoals, to talk about his journey as a young entrepreneur, from starting Spring Valley Candles at just 14 years old to opening a coffeehouse of his own.

Easton shares the story behind his candle business, the community support that has helped both ventures grow, and what makes The Forge special, including their popular Banana Bread Latte and plans for their own coffee roastery.

It's always great to see local entrepreneurs building something special right here in our community.
