POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I've been merging my science and arts interests by making music live from brainwaves and using it in DANCE! It lets us explore that intangible space between performer and audience, and it sounds real weird and wonderful. I call my newly invented brain instrument the Somalon!

My dance collaborator is the tremendously talented @kaylin1horgan, and we'll be performing the next installment of Brain Dance at Slippery Rock University this FRIDAY, October 16!

We have ONE comp ticket left if anyone wants to come witness this! You'll also get to see a whole evening of fabulous contemporary dance pieces by some wonderful artists.

✨🥳 GO ON is out now! 🥳✨

Ever hear a voice telling you you're not enough? Sometimes it's someone else. Sometimes it's the world around you. And sometimes it's your own inner critic doing the talking.

"Go On" is about letting that voice exist... but not letting it lead. A summer jam with a simple reminder: you don't have to believe every story you're told about yourself.

This song was recorded live in Ian Green's art studio, fully DIY with a whole lot of heart. Huge thanks to Tune Dan Miller for all of the recording, engineering, patience, and wizardry that brought it to life, and to the Tunes Dugan and Ian for their incredible musicianship, enthusiasm, and commitment to these songs.

And the timing couldn't be better ~ tomorrow we'll be celebrating the release live at Three Rivers Arts Festival, put on by the Pgh @culturaltrust ~ Come find us at Arts Landing Friday from Noon–1pm. ☀️🎶

Listen TODAY on Bandcamp (link in bio), then everywhere else just as soon as its propogated! 🌿

Dear @actualbenfolds and @benfoldsfive ~

In 1996, I met you and the boys in West Palm after one epic show that left QUITE the impression on me.

So naturally, 30 years later, I had the truly kooky idea to honor the gloriously unhinged preview of “Song for the Dumped” you played that night… by performing your vocal on musical saw... through a talk box!

I call this "The Sawlk Box Technique" ~ never before attempted by mankind!

Also included:
a lil story about our fateful encounter.

See you in Pittsburgh on June 9 💋
