Today is 10 years with my love! ❤️
How lucky are we that we not only found each other, but continued to grow together, choose each other, lift each other up, and not shy away from the hard moments?
Truly, I never thought that when I met you at industry nine all of those years ago, you convincing me to date you would end up here.
We’ve both changed and grown so much as people, and I love you more now than I ever have before, you’ve shown me what it really means for someone to stand by you in the good times and the hard, what an immeasurable gift.
I love who we are today, and the life that we’ve created. I love you just as much.
Thank you for convincing me, you were right. ❤️

Tomorrow marks two years since Helene, but it’s also the anniversary of something much sweeter, so I’m posting about it today.
I’m so grateful for the growth I’ve been given over the past couple of years. Was the flood terrible? Yes. Do I have more trauma from it? Yes. Do I still see it sometimes in my mind when I drive every day into the river arts district? Absolutely. There’s no way you could ever forget the things I’ve seen during that time in our life.
On the flip side I’ve gained so much knowledge, found so much community, was supported, held, and lifted up by my loved ones, and came out of it stronger and more equipped for growth in the future.
They say that no one grows from gentle times and they aren’t fucking lying y’all.
Here we are two years later and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, the River arts district is more a part of me now than ever before.
I couldn’t have done it without you all. I hope you feel that, and know I love every one of you that helped me in some way thought this tragedy.
Don’t give up out there y’all, there is light on the other side 💫

Today was Keenan’s first day of his last year of high school.
I’ve been taking this same photo of him ever since Pre-k, and today my long term art project is finally complete!

What a joy and an honor it’s been to watch this guy grow up, and to have such an amazing human as my son. I can’t wait to see where life takes you!

Banff was magical ✨
Crisp, clean, lovely mountains and lakes. So much picturesque scenery!
We woke up super early every morning to be out in nature before all of the other humans and it was perfect. You only run into die hard nature folks then, and you can actually experience the spaces as they’re ment to be experienced.
12/10 would do again and fish next time!

Vancouver island was full of so much beauty and so many cool creatures. I’m a sucker for tidal pools because they’re each their own little universe! Looking at and searching for little creatures really slows me down and puts things in perspective for me.
I had never seen banana slugs before, and I’m obsessed. Slimy things have always been a favorite of mine 🐌 I think they’re going to need their own post later.

Yesterday was my 39th birthday! 🐋
I spent the day watching whales, exploring nature, and having delicious meals with my sweet family on Vancouver island!
What a special treat. This last year has been a wild time, and honestly the last few years have thrown me for a loop.
Here’s to the coming year of peace, and calm, of nature, and enjoying the rewards of all of my hard work.
I can’t wait to ride, hike, explore, fish, swim, relax, and just overall squeeze every drop out of the life ahead of me.

Vancouver! 🍁
I’m not a big city kind of gal, but if I was I would want to live in a city like this.
It was so green (trees and plants everywhere, including roofs) so clean (basically no trash at all, and all takeaway and to go trash is compostable or recyclable) and the greenways, bike paths, and sidewalks were everywhere.
We had the best time exploring, eating, and seeing different parts of the city. What a great way to start our family trip!

What’s the secret to a long relationship?
Making the choice everyday to want to, communication, openness, sharing your wants and needs, being willing to say you’re sorry, being willing to forgive and move forward, doing the work to repair, saying what you mean and doing what you say. Action, sitting in the darkness when needed, sharing the joys and light when life provides them, the willingness to share the human experience with someone else and being just as invested in theirs.

Life is never easy, but it’s as easy as it can be with you by my side. Happy 4th wedding anniversary my love. Here’s to so much more human experience in front of us. I love you forever, and I’ll be there at the clearing at the end of the path.

Five years old! 🥳
What a wild ride it’s been the last 5 years… creation, destruction, rising from the ashes, and expansion.
I never knew what would happened when I started this journey, and I never expected the last 5 years.
I’ve put in countless hours, blood, sweat, tears, joy, and heartache into this business.
I feel so honored to hold and grow a space to house so many amazing people, to watch others grow their businesses, to nourish a spot where people come to share their joys, fears, and sorrows.
What an honor ✨
I’m so grateful for the amazing people in my life who have made this possibility a reality, who have believed in me and stood by me in the good times and the bad, for my community who helped light the way when the path forward felt so dark.
