Over the years, Iโ€™ve often dreamed of having my painting studio in the golden cupola of the Hugh Oโ€™Neill Building in NYC.

Unfortunately, I was just a bit short of the asking priceโ€ฆ so I made myself tiny, and there I am, at the window! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Curious to see how it looks like inside? Check the link in my bio (cupola tour starts at 3:06)!

P.S. By the way, the painting Iโ€™m holding, Love at Monument Valley, is available at @brunellifineart! ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Do you have a dream studio? Where would yours be?

Lower Manhattan, September 18.
I recently finished painting a buffalo, and lately I seem to see buffalo everywhere. ๐Ÿฆฌ
So there was no way I was going to miss Return of the Buffalo: Tatanka Owe Akupi today, a herd of life-size buffalo moving through the streets of Lower Manhattan.
What a beautiful experience. Iโ€™m so glad I was there. ๐ŸคŽ

We are pleased to include this beautiful and heartfelt new work in our viewing room by Brooklyn-based painter, Ester Curini.

The artists writes,
 โ€œIโ€™ve always loved ravens.

When I painted this piece, I imagined Monument Valley reflected in their eyes. The reds and golds of the desert became part of their gaze, as if the landscape itself had settled within them.

More than anything, though, I wanted to capture something simple: the comfort of being seen by another living being.๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›๐ŸŒตโ€

Born Before Fire, 2026
acrylic on canvas, 60 x 48 in.

Iโ€™ve always been fascinated by bison. I love how big and powerful they are, the huge head, the small eyes, all that crazy hair, and that massive body on surprisingly thin legs.
I often think about how long they have been here. They were here before our cities, our roads, and almost everything we see around us today.

By the late 1800s, they had been hunted almost to extinction. Link in bio: a short excerpt from Ken Burnsโ€™ โ€œThe American Buffaloโ€.

There is another bison far away behind him. Bison belong to a herd, and I wanted a little glimpse of that too.

Born Before Fire is part of my ongoing series American Icons

As we enter our final week of our exhibition, Remarkable Precision: Photorealism & Beyond, we are greeted on our front entrance feature wall by Ester Curiniโ€™s large-scale painting, โ€œRadiantโ€ which depicts a striking and powerful portrait of a mountain lion. Curini writes, โ€œMountain lions, also known as cougars and pumas, represent some of the most majestic and fascinating creatures in North America. Their conservation is crucial for maintaining ecological balance. I dedicated several months to creating this painting reflecting my passion for raising awareness about these magnificent animals.โ€

โ€œAnimals are, and always have been, my driving force and inspiration... Although I continue to be inspired to paint every kind of animal, in recent years I have been focused on the most critically endangered and threatened predators in North America.โ€

On September 9, my beloved Pepe passed away, after 19 and a half years of shared light.
Pepe was pure soul, gentle and strong at the same time, with a contagious happiness: I cannot recall a single day when he didnโ€™t make me laugh. He was by my side in every painting and a silent guide reminding me to stay in the here and now. For some mysterious reason, the street cats adored him: they walked proudly by his side, as if they saw in him a brother, a spirit as free as their own. Even Poldo, the orange street cat in the video, still searches for him every day.
He was a marvelous gift from the universe, one I will always carry within me. His spirit remains my light, both fierce and tender, a flame that will illuminate every step I take. And his absence will be infinite.๐Ÿ’ซ

โ€œI seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times, in life after life, in age after age, forever.โ€
Rabindranath Tagore

๐Ÿ’ซ

๐Ÿ’ซ

โ€œMi sembra di averti amato in infinite forme, infinite volteโ€ฆVita dopo vita, ripetutamente, per sempre.โ€
