Thanks to @eajpark 박제형 님

Last tattoo session of 2025 🫶 and one I’ll remember for a long time.
From listening to his music in my studio for years to tattooing him in person… it felt surreal.

He wanted an abstract, rough–sketch interpretation of “The Hand of Jesus.”
I designed a raw, fragmented linework version as if the lines are breaking apart mid–emotion.

Thank you for your trust.
You are truly one of the kindest and warmest souls.❤️🙏

Grateful for this moment. See you again soon.
Swipe to see process.✨

Grateful to be featured in @voyagelamag ’s Inspiring Stories series.

I wanted to share a bit about my journey - how I found tattooing, and how it became a new language for me to express everything I’ve learned from art, design, and life itself.

It still feels surreal to look back at all the twists, doubts, and restarts that brought me here. This isn’t a story about success, but about growth - learning, failing, trying again, and finding meaning along the way.

Endlessly thankful for the people who believed in me and guided me through this path - especially @sashatattooing and @nora_ink , who have been such incredible mentors.
Deeply grateful to everyone I work alongside with every day at @sashatattooinggallery - I learn so much from their dedication, creativity, and heart. Being surrounded by people who truly love what they do keeps me inspired and grounded.💛
Thank you for reading, and for letting me share a small piece of my story.🌿

She drove two hours from Ventura for this tattoo.

After a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction following cancer, she had been searching since 2021 for someone who could create what she was envisioning. Something delicate, asymmetrical, and flowing with her body.

Not a tattoo to cover everything up, but one that would help her feel connected to her body again.

We completed this piece over two days.

When we finished, she teared up. She said she no longer avoided looking in the mirror or faced it with sadness. Instead, seeing her reflection had become a genuinely happy experience.

I cried right there with her.

This work isn’t about erasing what your body has been through. It’s about adding a new chapter on top of it.

That’s why I do this.

Thank you for trusting me with something this personal, and for letting me share it. I’ll be cheering you on in this new chapter.

Drew these thorns straight onto his skin, following the shape of his arm.

Third piece for @eajpark 박제형님.
Loved his idea for this one and bringing it into the same scratchy style as his first two tattoos. 🖤

The Instruments of Martyrdom.

Three pieces for @eajpark , connected through the same drawing style. 🖤

For the third piece, eaJ brought in an existing hand tattoo and a reference mapping out its symbols. My part was to build on what was already there, bringing in the loose lines and layered texture of the first two tattoos.

A look at the drawings, the starting point, and the details on skin.

Thank you, Jae, for trusting me with all three.

A little sunshine from a day at The Huntington ♡
Always looking a little closer at petals, colors, and the way things grow.
Little details I carry back into my work. 🌿

Florals for Sindy 🖤

I mapped out the flow freehand on her arm, letting the leaves follow the curve of her elbow.

I love how the two flowers come closer together when she bends her arm, then open into a longer composition when she straightens it.

15 min bird sketch → tattoo 🖤

Starting a little series where quick sketches turn into tattoos.

This little sparrow began as a loose 15 minute drawing, then became part of the body.

I love seeing how an idea changes from paper to skin, keeping the feeling of the original sketch while adjusting the flow to fit the body naturally.

Save this if you love the sketch-to-tattoo process, and share it with someone who’d love a little sparrow tattoo.

What should I sketch next?

Her first tattoo at 35. A long time coming 🤍

She’d been thinking about her first tattoo for a long time, and wanted a floral piece that reflected her soft, feminine side with a little darkness and mystery.

Starting with her own drawing, I reworked the design for her back. A bee, a peony, and a crescent moon, with drifting leaves and tiny stars for a whimsical, dreamlike feel. The leaves were drawn freehand on her skin to follow her natural contours.

You were the sweetest, Leticia. Thank you for trusting me with your first tattoo 🤍

For anyone in their 30s still thinking about their first, what would feel like you?

Bold peonies. Delicate vines. A birthday gift to herself. 🌿

Full blooms across the back of both shoulders, softening into light, feminine vines as they wrap toward the chest.

She wanted a piece that felt like her and fit her everyday life. We planned the placement with her V-neck work tops in mind, so she could keep it covered at work.

She’s a professional and a mom. This was something she chose just for herself.

How I sketch a blooming peony before turning it into a tattoo ✏️

1. Start with simple rounded shapes.
I map out the overall shape and petal groupings to check the balance before adding details.
2. Build the petals loosely.
I vary their size and direction, letting some open up and others overlap to create a natural flow.
3. Refine the details.
I define the folds and edges while leaving some areas soft. Not every petal needs the same amount of detail.
4. Add contrast last.
I deepen the shadows where petals overlap and keep the lighter areas open. This adds depth and drama while keeping the flower soft and elegant.
Save this for your next floral study, and share it with someone who loves drawing flowers 🤍

I’m happy to share that I’m now a @blackwing ambassador. I’ve loved and used their pencils for years, including for concept sketches as a Disney doll designer, so getting to work with them now feels especially meaningful.

Blackwing gifted me an essentials set and their Vol. 143 pencils, a tribute to Frida Kahlo. This blooming peony felt like a lovely way to celebrate.

Thank you, Blackwing. I’m excited to share more of what I create with you. 🖤
