THE SPEED PROJECT: AFTERPARTY
a film by: @jadencolefilms

With this years race being 3 days out, I couldn’t help but reminisce. Hence the new trailer.

It’s crazy to have experienced so much discomfort and pain, yet all the good stands out the most.

I love my crew that made this run possible and they will forever have a special place in my heart.

Hope you all can find a moment to reminisce with us. Link to the film is in my bio❤️‍🔥

Shout out the @matt.km for the film graphics and @datt.mickson for the insane amount of coconut waters that kept us alive🫶🏽 by @ethan.herreraa

The Mammoth 200

Went into this run with the desire to race but the mountains had a different plan for me.

This race reminded me of why I love these long efforts. And of course, made me question why the hell am I even out there.

It’s wild to feel like cards are stacked against you but somehow, you keep going.

Stomach problems, shot out legs, freezing nights, asthma attacks, a swollen ankle and hallucinations that still haunt me.

Yet I leave grateful?

Grateful for the opportunity, for the best crew I could ask for, for an amazing community that has my back, to have completed the loop and I guess for my stubbornness to make sure that when it’s 2am and I want to quit, I won’t.

I’m grateful to have left this race with another lesson from the mountains and an important reminder:

That this is only the beginning

The Speed Project Afterparty - a run from LA to Vegas: done and dusted

287 miles, 88hrs:1min, 4hrs of sleep and an unholy amount of cookies, uncrustables and frozen burritos.

With this run, I knew I was going to slowly suffer. But not out of a form of self hate, but true self love. To run not from something but towards something. To not try and feel higher than others but to grow with people. An attempt to create a positive ripple.

To be honest, I still truly don’t know why I felt so called to do this run, or to run in general. It all started so randomly. But the pull towards it all feels so powerful and when I’m doing it, everything just makes sense. I feel that maybe a greater sense of purpose for these runs, is when it can in some way move others to pursue something daunting, that will also help them grow.

Although, sometimes I do struggle with that idea when I hear that some people’s motivation comes from me. Because I know the whole time I was scared, uncertain and just wanted to be done with it all. But maybe that’s the point? To be vulnerable with it all? To be okay with being scared and it being known? I don’t know. Sorry @davidgoggins

I don’t think I came home from this run as a radically changed person/runner. But instead made me see who I really am.(Which is mainly that I’m one stubborn ass mf.)

So much happened, so much was learned and so many more new questions.

Excited to share more through the amazing photos by @m.guelzacarias and @alexzimarikphoto , and soon a film by @jadencolefilms taken in Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas by @ethan.herreraa

The Mammoth 200 from the iPhone POV

Hours before the start

Instead of “the calm before the storm”, it was just the storm before the storm

Mile 46: me acting like I’ve never seen a pretty sunset before

Mile 136: Nick and I almost drowned

Mile 138: me trying to convince Syd to give me a piggyback ride the rest of the way (she said no)

Mile 163: thought I was hallucinating this bird pooping and staring at me in the middle of the trail. It was real.

Mile 170: a sunrise that just got me saying “thank you, God”

Mile 170.5: ended up sitting on this hilltop and enjoyed the sunrise for 10 mins

Mile 174: ding dong ditched my gf’s, brother-in-laws, grandmas house

Mile 179: my dad paced me for the first time ever. Also getting a distance PR of 10 miles

Mile 184: me acting tired just to get a free massage from these big strong men

Mile 197: me pouting because I realized I wouldn’t hit my time goal

Mile 203: my little sister paced me for the first time. This was also our first time ever running together. If I wasn’t so dead inside by this point I probably would’ve cried.

Mile 206: kiwi vs mammoth mt.

(He summited three times so I think he won)

Mile 209: Cam being abducted by aliens

Mile 220: me thinking Syd and I ran the last 1.5 miles under a 6 min pace when it was really around a 8:30 pace

Now we “crew” George

<3

Idk I just feel like this could be a meme

Metro-Manila, Philippines

Flowing through the chaos of the busy city streets.

It was very cool to immediately feel connected to a place through a simple, wholesome exchange of saying, “Good Morning” to anyone you make eye contact with as you darted by.

Quezon, Philippines

Getting shown the local crag by such an awesome crew reminded Drew and me of one thing: no matter where you are in the world, the climbing community is almost always the same. There’s so much stoke for one another and so much love for the environment.

Despite getting a tetanus shot in each arm the night before, getting stung by a bee mid-session, and experiencing the gnarliest heat-and-humidity combo, this was still some of the most fun I’ve had climbing in a long time.

Palawan, Philippines

About five years ago, @pstrjasper learned that the kids in the highlands of Palawan had no access to school, so he did something about it.

Through Instagram, he crowdfunded over $11,000 in the first 24 hours. With that he got started almost immediately. Having to fly in all supplies via helicopter, they built the first school in just a couple of months.

Fast forward to 2026: there are now seven schools, with seven students heading to college this year. Truly inspiring.
Beyond grateful to be one of the messengers for @roark, delivering shoes and school supplies to the teachers of these schools. Because of these teachers, the school grounds radiate joy, love, and excitement.

And thank you, @jasper, for letting us share your story. You’ve shown a beautiful example that if you’re lucky enough to achieve your goal, don’t you dare slow down.

The Speed Project: round 2

This year instead of running into wild dogs I ran into a dawg who threatened to stab me and then threw rocks at the truck.

280 miles goes by a lot quicker when you’re with a crew of very talented runners.

The plans with this race for next year for @roark are already brewing and I CANT WAIT to eventually share😈
