EARTHCOUNCIL commences 🌱⋆˚༄

mi hermana @jewellofthewaters and i invite you to commune with us on this quest for honoring the wisdom that has been selflessly offered to us through time. octavia e. butler was born in pasadena and is buried in altadena, precious land the eaton fire is devastatingly devouring. she writes of these fires and end stage capitalism in her 1993 book in which we will be collectively reaping the knowledge and hope around compassion, change, community, and choice from. i dream for this space to be one in which bipoc and queer people can freely and safely share their grief tears heartache and share their joy laughter resistance.
join us this upcoming thursday january 16th from 6-8pm pst and on, on this journey. no prior reading required for our first meeting. screenshot this lovely flyer made by jewell and scan the QR code for the zoom link, message me for the direct link or if you are interested but unable to attend this weeks meeting. emphasis on the bipoc and queer centered space.
this first slide is a portrait of jewell and i with two flowers that celebrate the potent power, wisdom, and alchemization of each of our lineages and cultures. i started it i when we were living together through her chronic illness, which she is still navigating and raising funds for, and finished it this morning after gushing about this space with jewell over video call. please do consider donating to jewell directly at the link in my bio, especially if you plan to join us.
salud to this kinship, this pocket of peace and nook of nourishment i get to share with jewell, and hopefully you all

sitting with the seasons shift. holding dear ones words that ground. “let your heart rest in your soon to be wings.” “feels like when you finish crying and you’re still wet, but you’re finally able to catch your breath.” by @ettamiamor
