If you asked that little guy on the last slide if this was ever possible, I'm sure he would've given you the same answer as the guy on the second to last slide, or even that same guy this time last year.

Not a damn chance.

To say life has been easy and the best time of my life post graduation is very far from the truth.

It's been a time of my life that has left me feeling very empty. Constantly hoping and searching for a sense of purpose or a sign that I am on the right path.

It has been very difficult to pursue things that I have put so much time, effort , and energy, yet not reward me in the way that I hoped.

I needed reassurance. I needed a tangible goal. I needed a sign of hope.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought competing in a bodybuilding show would give me that.

This has been one of the hardest things I've ever done. From being deathly sick to start my prep, work trips, other travels and obligations, hours of cardio, having to be super agressive to play catchup to make it on stage, and even having severe imposter syndrome while standing on that stage....

I look at these photos and finally feel a little bit of that pride and hope I've been desperately searching for.

I've reminded myself of who I am at my core.

I am someone who can accomplish what I set my mind to.

I can do hard shit.

The person I've always thought to be is still in there.

I'm so thankful for my multiple support systems, for showing up in anyway possible. For being another reminder that I'm not alone.

Now.... are all the questions I had, answered? No.

Do I feel healed and that I figured everything out? Not even close.

Will I even do another show? Who knows.

But I do know that I'm so grateful for this absolute whirlwind of an experience and looking forward to continue to learn more about, work on, and make sure to LOVE this new version of myself.
