We're delighted to announce Michael Colla (@classycolla) as our first Emerging Conductor of the season!

Michael is a vocalist and a music educator based in Toronto, who advocates and encourages the role of community in music. Michael is a graduate of St. Michael’s Choir School, York University (B.F.A. Vocal music), and Wilfrid Laurier University (B.Ed). He currently works as a Music Teacher in the Toronto Catholic District School Board, conducts Coro San Marco, and conducts the preparatory choir of VIVA Youth Singers. He served as conductor for St. Paschal Baylon’s R.C Church choir, Community Music Schools of Toronto, and has been a guest conductor for “Singing Together”- a multicultural choral festival. Michael’s passion for music education and community music is a driving force in his development as an educator, conductor, musician, and lifelong learner.
