A few shots of my new zine The Colourful City: Notes on the North, exhibited at the This is the North Convention in Scarborough🌟

Designed as part of my artist commission for the People’s Powerhouse Coast-to-Coast project. A big thank you to @peoplespowerhouse, @tnlcommunityfund and @aceagrams for supporting this project, and to those 20 passionate Northeners who participated in the artist-listener conversations with me. This is all you !!🩷

You can view the zine and read more about the commission on my website📒✨ by @fajkart

Things come into our lives, and then they go. But sometimes, the manner in which they disappear can only be described as surreal, odd, and mystical.

Through conversations with friends and other artists, I found that this was a common occurrence; things plucked out of our dimension with no explanation. Only confusion, speculation, and a memory of what once was remaining. This zine is a collection of those experiences 💫

I’m super proud of this one and had the privilege of sharing it for the first time at Glasgow Zine Fest🔮

I hope you like it !! 📒🌟🌷🐞 by @fajkart

I’m excited to announce that I have been selected as an Artist Listener as part of the People’s Powerhouse Coast to Coast project⚡️

I will be interviewing people from around Manchester to understand how they feel about their communities and how involved they feel with the changes taking place in the North.

I am doing most of the interviews this week so if you would like to get involved, send me a message!

Our conversation will become part of a zine that I’m making which will be unveiled at the This is the North Convention in Scarborough 🌟 by @fajkart

What’s on your bag? 👜

I’m making a new mini zine about the trinkets, keyrings, plushies and other charms we put on our bags. I’m interested to learn why we decorate them, what our bag charms mean to us and how it represents a part of ourselves.

If you would like to participate please send me your name, pronouns, a short paragraph about what’s on your bag (including the story behind it, what it means to you, and anything else) and a link to a photo of your bag charms via dm or email 💌

All participants will get a free copy of the zine 🌟

I’m accepting submissions until August 14th! by @fajkart

Last month, I had the wonderful opportunity to share a little bit about my practice as a zine-maker and co-founder of @mangojamcollective at @khidrcollective’s ‘Joy is a space we make’ event!

It was such an honour to be invited as a panelist and to sit alongside the ever inspiring and incredible @notnishat and @peim786🌟

A big thank you to @longsightartspace for making the evening so welcoming and warm for everyone, to @zeashanashraf for the photos, and to all who attended🩷

Thanks again @khidrcollective 🩷‼️💐 by @fajkart
