charley's magicked up another incredible cocktail special for the fates- the "alchemists's daydream": a silky, slightly spiced clarified milk punch with Appleton signature rum, Wray and Nephew Jamaican overproof rum, Velvet Falernum, Lime, Habanero Syrup and Golden Milk [Turmeric, Black Pepper, Coconut].

it has a gentle but balanced warmth from the hausmade habanero syrup, the golden milk adding depth and the blend of rums rounding everything out beautifully. I am a big fan of this one and I know you will be, too. we both put a lot of heART and effort into every bite and sip and pour and corner of our little place and it makes us so happy when we get to share that joy with all of you.

slowly adding some new snacks onto our autumn menu, including my vegetarian take on a jambon beurre: warmed crackly baguette, @primeroots vegan black forest koji ham, whipped tarragon mustard butter, watermelon radish, cornichon
salty, savoury comfort ✨[available with vegan butter, too!]

pair with an earthy oregon pinot or a crisp and mineral chenin blanc [both hitting our menu this weekend!!] and your favourite seat at the bar.

what an absolute delight it was to have @ramcellars pouring her amazing wines at the fates last night, with thanks to @crystalliams and @handcraftedwines, too!

viv is a joyful force of nature, the kindest, realest and sweetest soul, and someone i am very lucky to call friend.
in the midst of harvest and 3636537373 hour days trucking grapes, dealing with malfunctions, assessing, pressing, and de-stressing, this beautiful human took the time to pour love into our glasses and serve our community, and i am truly grateful.

we are keeping the magic going all weekend with Ram Cellars features for those who missed yesterday, and a few new snacks for fun, too.

preparations for Saturday's secret supper club are well underway and we are so very excited to welcome an intimate gathering around the Fates table for a very special breakfast for dinner edition with wine, cocktails, community, laughter and love.

autumn is ✨almost✨ in the air, can you feel it? the days are still warm but the nights arrive just a bit earlier and there is just the hint of a chill in the air. time seems to be easing her mad pace just a bit, as if in invitation to pause, reflect and just be present for a moment.

i always feel orange wines are the most poetic way to pour the last rays of summer into autumn- quite literally - into our hands.
i'm opening many of my favourites this weekend to share with you, and look forward to reminiscing on summer highlights, and autumn hopes. see you soon. xx by @fatesbreadandbottle

happy two years of officially making @fatesbreadandbottle brick and mortar dreams come true!!!! [jan 1st 2027 will mark two years of my doors officially being open to the public!!]
i've worked approx 10000000 hours a day for every bit of the past two years since i got those keys, and plan to keep going strong.

supper club returns next week, the back patio is almost fortified for autumn and the coming winter season, wine
shelves are loaded with treasures, new menu on the way, so much joy on deck.
ahhhhh, all the feels!!! what a delicious journey this continues to be.
full glass, full heART. hey ho, let's go🎶🤘🏼

we're slowly transitioning our summer menu into autumn, starting with our haus Caipirinha- we've created this gorgeous hibiscus and spice version to lighten these wonderfully dark and gloomy portland days.

novofogo silver cachaça, jamaica syrup [hibiscus, allspice, cinnamon] lime

the Caipirinha was notably one of anthony bourdain's favourite cocktails- and ours, too.
this one's a really magick take✨

🎉🎉🎉UPDATE: tickets are live!! link in our stories and on our website!!

Secret supper club is back, September 26 from 6 to 9 PM. We are dropping tickets later this afternoon and we hope you can make it! We are doing breakfast for dinner because we are adults and we do what we want :-)

we strive to bring joy and community together around our table always and this will be a fun and intimate way to connect with new people, enjoy new foods, discover new wines and some amazing cocktails and just… let loose and have fun. It's going to be a super relaxed, slow, savory, delicious evening and we are very excited to bring this one to you all at long last!

I will post this afternoon when the ticket link goes live and I will share in our stories!

Much love today and always. We remember those who are no longer with us, we celebrate life together here and now and do our best to make everything better for each other going forward.
