the good evening from here: a reminder of my Why, the Reason i love what i do, the Joy of this industry... for me, a perfectly earthy, lightheARTed, spiced and velvety Blaufränkish. one of my favourite grapes and happy comforts, lovingly grown, nurtured and balanced from earth to bottle, journeyed all the way from lovely Austria, straight to my glass.

happy two years of officially making @fatesbreadandbottle brick and mortar dreams come true!!!! [jan 1st 2027 will mark two years of my doors officially being open to the public!!]
i've worked approx 10000000 hours a day for every bit of the past two years since i got those keys, and plan to keep going strong.

supper club returns next week, the back patio is almost fortified for autumn and the coming winter season, wine
shelves are loaded with treasures, new menu on the way, so much joy on deck.
ahhhhh, all the feels!!! what a delicious journey this continues to be.
full glass, full heART. hey ho, let's go🎶🤘🏼

what an insane privilege to finally witness one of my fav modern composers/musicians/rad humans @bearmccreary on The Singularity: Ekleipsis Tour with an absolute magic motley crew of music makers last night.
getting to hear one of my fav pieces from battlestar galactica especially got me RIGHT in the feels.

i've been so busy living in the moment lately, celebrating those I love and working hard I've barely been on social media- which has been great. I've taken so many photos that I cannot wait to share, experienced so many things, eaten SO much amazing food...but above all, I've just been happy. New York, Arizona, the Oregon coast, some of the best days we've had at the wine bar lately, new ventures on the horizon, settling into our new home, blissed in a peaceful, healthy loving partnership, enjoying time with my family and dear friends… I'm just really blessed. Truly.
Am I also exhausted? Hell yes. Does trauma, anxiety and depression creep up and rear its ugly head at the most inopportune times? Certainly. Have I been through some shit but learned some shit because of it and am i grateful for all of it? You better believe it. And even when I'm not always ok, I know that's ok too. I'm still happy. I'm still grateful. I love to share the good things and I also love to talk about the hard things because I want those who have been through similar terrors to know that it is ok to not always be ok, that it can get better, that you don't ever deserve to be screamed at or physically abused or lied to or stolen from or manipulated… That we never deserve terrible things that other people do to us but we DO need to learn from them, gain strength, find a good community to support us and move forward with boundaries and resolve. I'm here to say it gets better, it gets beautiful, it gets delicious- because you learn to season that goodness yourself. there are resources and people out there to help you if you feel stuck in a terrible situation and see no way out… There is a way. There are people who have been in your shoes who are here to listen and cheer you on [hi it's me]!
I've learned some valuable lessons in my life- first to always trust my gut, second to never settle for anything less than I deserve, and third, to take good care of myself so that I can take good care of others- aka: boundaries. and above all I've learned to find the good in everything, and to focus on gratitude always.
