We can only control what we project out 🫶❤️ let’s take care of each other.. life is so precious and fragile by @fedor.builds

@alpaka_raplapla brought so many amazing ideas to our first meeting about dreams & obstacles

to name a few💡:

🎹 A dream fund

The big one: every room raises money for the dreams people share there.

✨ Supporter tickets. Next to the regular ticket, a $50 or $100 one, where the extra goes into the fund. Supporters get a perk, like their name on the next poster, so they become dream sponsors

✨ Musicians. An artist plays during the room, and the tips split 50/50 between them and the fund, so the artist earns and the dreams get funded

✨ Who gets it. We said voting can be gamed, so maybe a jury of Juicy artists decides once a month, like the Oscars, or we simply split it equally. We try one system, see how it works, then try the other if we need to.

✅ My favorite thing about what we are building with @juicytimes.nyc is that it only works when we do it together!

3 ways for artists to make extra money 🍊

financial challenges artists face in NYC and worldwide are real.

artists are essential for humanity’s future.

That’s why I am developing tools to help artists not just survive but thrive: co-hosting events together, offering discounts to your audience for ticket sales, and a new grant for wild event ideas.

I believe that win-win wins and that we are always stronger together and I want to show how it works in practice

Dm me if you want to get in board 🚀

How I came up with Juicy Times Grant for Unique Event Ideas

kindness is infectious.. a $100 grant we got from from @glouberman and @torontoeventgenerator inspired me to create the Juicy Times grant 🍊

I am excited to support people with unusual, weird, or new event ideas who need help starting, finding a venue or a sponsor, marketing or a partner to bring the idea to life

comment your event idea under the grant post I shared earlier to get started 🚀

Your weirdest event idea..
Juicy Times wants to back it 🍊

Absurd. Oddly specific. Gloriously unnecessary. Juicy.

If it’s joyful, unique, intimate, communal or you-focused, it qualifies.

We’ll be picking our favorites and backing them on a rolling basis

To apply:
Comment your event idea + tag your co-host.
Follow us and @fedor.worlds so we can slide into your DMs.

New round every two weeks. First picks October 19 🗓️

The Real Problem Isn’t Meeting People - It’s Staying in Touch and having patience to discover beautiful depth and complexity we all have..

in big cities like New York, meeting new people is easy, but the real challenge is meaningfully staying in touch and building deeper relationships beyond the perpetual first date. I believe it’s important to focus on helping people stay connected after initial meetings.

who is with me?

Meeting with community leaders - Monika of @brooklynheartsclub and Stephanie of @neighborhoodconcertseries made me realize again:

💪we are so much stronger together

being an artist and entrepreneur can feel lonely but it doesn’t have to be that way

@dreamsandobstacles events help me see how many answers we have for each other if we only get vulnerable and talk to each other about our.. dreams AND obstacles

let’s keep building connection tools.. together by @fedor.builds

Guatemala City, you did THAT 🍊

Yesterday’s Dreams & Obstacles room was pure magic.

And now it’s official: we’ve hosted in New York, Seoul, Toronto and Guatemala City, and the host journey is OPEN. If you raised your hand to host a Dreams & Obstacles in your city, this is your moment. We support you with everything: the venue, the terms, the marketing, sponsors, the run of the night.

I DM’d everyone I could remember. If I missed you, comment HOST and I’ll send you the invite personally 🧡

We’re taking Dreams & Obstacles worldwide. Your city is next.
