Hi, I’m Fei 👋

I’m a physiotherapist who has been training in pole, contortion, and handstands for the past 12 years.

I recently opened my studio with the goal of serving this unique — and often underserved — community.

I know you’ve probably thought:
“I wish my healthcare provider understood my sport.”
“I wish my coach knew how to modify training around injuries.”
“I wish someone could explain what I actually need to strengthen to unlock my dream skills.”

That’s exactly why I do what I do.
I’ve been where you are — feeling stuck on a skill, unsure what’s missing, or constantly working around aches and injuries.

Sometimes it’s not about working harder, but understanding what your body actually needs — whether that’s strength, mobility, control, flexibility, or muscular engagement.
My approach combines movement analysis, soft tissue work, acupuncture, and individualized exercise program to help you better understand your body and perform at your best.

So whether you’re trying to train around an injury, improve flexibility safely, build strength, or finally hit that skill you’ve been chasing — I’ve got you 🤍

And honestly… I love treating this community and saving other physios the headache of trying to figure out what people do on a pole too 😂

I unlocked my straddle handstand deadlift, pike handstand deadlift, and muscle-up all at once!! 🥹😭

Handstand deadlifts were something my body just couldn’t figure out for the longest time. I spent about a year working on press handstand drills in the past, but progress was painfully slow.

It felt like my body just didn’t know how to create that compression, and I always assumed my core wasn’t strong enough.

But thanks to the drills from @body.artist_._, something finally clicked! My body intuitively knew how to create that compression, and suddenly I unlocked all three skills at once.

It honestly felt like a miracle 😭

Isn’t that the addictive part of pole? You might unlock a skill in year 1, or it might take you 10+ years 🤣 You just never know when it’s going to happen

Flying spinning shoulder mount combo from static dynamic queen @tasholivess 😍 I felt like a swift ninja today 😊

I did pop a blood vessel in my eye from my chronic cough yesterday and doctor said not to go upside down to increase my eye pressure but for 3 micro seconds, that should be okay right?

Currently in the process of injury denial 🙈

I had such a great time teaching the Bird of Paradise workshops at @redefine_fitltd over the past two months! 🥰

Thank you for joining me on the BOP journey! I am so happy to see that people were either able to get the Jallegra to BOP transition or on their way to BOP. I cannot wait to follow your BOP progress!

This is the final combo I thought of for the last class because I am extra lol

Pole flow from @tasholivess - really enjoyed putting everything together 😊❤️ I need to work on creating the shape of helicopter legs more but it is the start!

Sunday conditioning - The only way to get stronger is to keep working on things that feel hard 🙃

For me, that’s pretty much anything involving core strength, forward folds, and compression. Now that comp is over, I want to spend the next few months getting stronger and working on all those things I used to avoid 😆

Not sure what my husband was trying to do in there 😂

Finally done with comp and got to pole just for fun 😊

Thank you @kiwithestripp3r for the breakdown and refresher on Titanic, which I haven’t worked on in years.

Today also happened to be perfect weather for my thighs to stick 😃 Maybe if I work on it consistently, there’s a chance I can still do this in the winter?

No new pictures or videos recently, so posting a photoshoot with @kaylens_ca from back in May ❤️

This red dress is very special to me because my grandma, who is now in her 90s and used to be a tailor, made it for me for my wedding in 2017.

My body has changed quite a bit from all the training since then, so I could no longer close the zipper in the last few years. But when she made it, she left a few extra inches in the seams in case I ever needed to alter it one day.

Needless to say, when you have a tailor or two in the family, everyone brings their clothes to you for alterations — sometimes making things bigger and sometimes smaller and I have seen her and my aunt done impossible things 😂

Thankfully, my aunt managed to make it fit one more time for me to take some pictures to commemorate how beautiful this dress is.

Now I just have to try not to outgrow it again because there’s officially no more fabric left 🤣

I guess I am the type of person who takes a very, very long time to appreciate what I did in the past, or maybe the process of preparing for my second competition brought some light to my first.

This video was from competing in the 2017 CPFA Pro Supershow amateur category. I was very fortunate to have my pole mom @senatorgizmo coach me and choreograph it for me.

I couldn’t bring myself to post it because all I saw were the parts I didn’t like, but looking back, it was pretty cool that I did what I could at the time and placed 🥈 out of 26 people in my category.

I left pole for a good 3 years (2020–2023), and in those 3 years, I started to realize how much I used to be able to do on the pole and the work went into those chicken arms to get me where I was.

Watching it now, 9 years later, I see it very differently. I loved pole so, so much that I kept showing up day after day and year after year. If it wasn’t for pole, I might not be a physio today, because I didn’t identify as someone who loves sports. Pole was my anchor to my body and to life. I still love it 12 years later, and I hope I will still be in love for many years to come.

A combo from a few weeks ago. No time to play with new transitions or moves currently as I am in survival mode trying to finish up choreographing my routine for PSO in 3 weeks 😩

It will be fun they said 🫠
It will make you strong they said 🫠
It will be worth it they said 🫠

I hope they are right 😂

Finally tried the move #pdelephantsplit and #pdinvertedelephantsplit @pole_kayla sent me a few weeks ago.

The upright version just hurt my biceps but the inverted version was scarier than the bird of paradise cause most of my grip was in my top thigh and there wasn’t a lot of counter pressure if I lost my thigh grip 🥶

I am glad I tried it thogh - was definitely nervous to straighten the top leg. If you are trying especially the upside down version, use a spotter!
