El gran día llego ! ⚫️🔴

The real shit starts now.

Without a doubt, these have been crazy times of change . After moving and being away from my family for so long, I am fortunate to welcome the person I cherish most on this planet: my brother, my mentor both in life and in jiu-jitsu. I can’t describe what it means to receive the black belt from someone I admire and love so much. And as if that weren’t enough, all of this is happening a day before my wedding and the beginning of a new life with a wonderful person @_mondixon . Life is full of unexpected moments like this, and all we can do is trust in God’s plans and follow His will.

The real adventure starts now. More motivated than ever to bring out the best version of myself and challenge myself daily to achieve my goals. Thank God for all your blessings, for surrounding me with the right people, and also for moments like these.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, always in my mind and heart.

He got away with something pretty valuable, though.

Turns out he was just trying to steal the best deal of the month 😂🥋

Part 1: What do UOJ members do for a living? 👀

A bunch of different people walk through our doors every day—different jobs, different backgrounds, and different reasons for training.

But Jiu-Jitsu brings us together.

Here’s a look at what some of our members do when they’re not on the mats. 🥋 taken in University of Jiu Jitsu by @felipe_lorajj

Today’s warm-up at our noon class 🤙

Starting with an overhead spin to counter the lateral position with an underhook, then adding the funk roll as a counter for the bottom person.

A dynamic, continuous drill that gets everyone moving, reacting, and working their transitions! 🥷 taken in University of Jiu Jitsu by @felipe_lorajj

Some moments from my super fight at @f2wbjj this past Saturday.

Grateful for the opportunity to compete for this organization for the first time, and to represent my new sponsor @goldbjj and my team @uojsandiego

I accepted this match on just one week’s notice while dealing with a few injuries, but I embraced the challenge. We made up for our physical limitations with heart, preparation, and the right mindset, and I’m thankful it paid off.

Respect to my opponent for a tough match, and thank you to the entire @f2wbjj team for putting on a great event.

Huge thank you to my teammates, sponsors, family, and everyone who continues to support me. This is just the beginning, I’m back in full competition mode, and I’m excited for what’s next. 👊🏽🔥
