POSTS STORIES REELS

Admiring creative costumes, running into friends and hearing the stories from the makers themselves, all whilst the glorious sun shone down on the BEST ward in Manchester (Levenshulme). Happy Makers and Happy Halloween 😊 👻 by @feslkhan

At the anti fascist protest yesterday. The monsters didn’t come out to play but instead good people and neighbours came out to look out for each other. I want to thank you all for showing up, it takes courage and conviction. Also, thanks to the police many of whom were out of town and had their leave cancelled to deter the far right hate protestors. by @feslkhan

Halloween is about family fun. There are some who want to turn it into real life fear. Don’t let them. We are Manchester, let’s have fun and let the police take care of any wannabe monsters. 🐝 by @feslkhan

I love living in Levenshulme, a wonderful community where everyone is made to feel welcome.

A few messages of hope and love from the residents on Stockport Road! 💚 by @feslkhan

Keeping the spirit of Palestine alive isn’t just about protests. It’s also about celebrating/preserving its beautiful arts and culture.
Palestinian women have used tatreez (traditional embroidery) as a way of preserving their heritage and resisting occupation.

If you ever get the chance to try tatreez, please do! It’s such a lovely way to connect with and celebrate Palestinian culture. @longsightartspace Finally a massive thank you for the lovely organisers for inviting me and my little one to experience this. I had so much fun. 💚 by @feslkhan

I accidentally deleted this post that I put up a month ago 🤦‍♀️. Such a memorable time with amazing people. These are the moments worth sharing again!

So proud to stand alongside my fellow Green Party members, each one of them bringing their own passion and dedication @feslkhan @matthewbroadley @green_naser_abby & @felixgansyer . A special mention to our youngest councillor, Hibaaq Aden @awakendhibs — so lovely to see the next generation stepping up! by @feslkhan

Sometimes we get so caught up in life that we forget to actually live and appreciate what’s around us. Just look at how beautiful autumn is. The other day as I was out and about in the ward, I came across this and I had to capture it. The sunshine streaming through the trees, the fallen leaves, the colours took my breath away.

We really are so lucky to have this. I hope to do my bit so that our children can enjoy this and be as enchanted as I was. 💚 #cringlepark in all its glory. by @feslkhan

Each day in this role is an education for me and a chance to learn from amazing people such as Elsa, Neil & the rest of the team at @streets4peoplelb . A world where streets are designed around people instead of automobiles. @mcrgrnparty by @feslkhan

Lovely to join in with the @cleanup_uk Levenshulme litterpick organised with @wearelocalvoices voices and @the_bluebell_green

We managed to natter to a few people about our plans for a levy & longsight (and maybe beyond...?) solar co-operative whilst also catching up with Levy councillor @feslkhan and our MP @hannahtheplumbermcr

Thanks everyone who came along - together we collected 34 bags of litter from the Floop and surrounding streets! by @feslkhan

It was great to welcome Fesl Khan, @feslkhan @thegreenparty Levenshulme Green Councillor, to our Friendship Blossoms Alleyway Garden today.

We had the chance to show Fesl around the garden, share the story of how our little alleyway has been transformed by local residents, and talk about the incredible community spirit that continues to make it grow.

Friendship Blossoms has always been about much more than gardening, it’s about bringing neighbours together, creating friendships, supporting biodiversity and turning a shared space into somewhere our community can be proud of.

Thank you, Fesl, for taking the time to visit, listen and chat with us about the project and its future. We look forward to putting things into action for help transform more alleyways in Levenshulme and for improving so many more aspects of Levenshulme
