Meet the team behind Flow Fest® Philly

@tanookitwirls (Tiffany)
@flowfests (Casandra)
@ninja__witch (Alicia)

Flow Fest Philly is a @flowfests event- one of a nation-wide network of flow arts festivals led by Casandra Tanenbaum. Since 2011: Flow Fest® provides flow artists and the flow-curious public with movement arts workshop festivals in urban parks to help people of all ages rediscover the joy of learning through play.

Alicia Talia, @ninja__witch, has built and supported multiple fire and flow arts spaces in Philadelphia, including @phillymoonjams, the Burning Man Fire Conclave (@thefirepantheons), and @PhillyFlowAcademy. Through @Minimal_Chaos_ Collective, she creates platforms for LGBTQ and multicultural artists and hosts flow gatherings alongside crews like @pex_phila_experiment, @departedtogether and SpinCo.

Tiffany Tung, @tanookitwirls, is a performer and organizer in the LED flow arts space, hosting @spincoalition Flow Jam meetups, performing with crews like @7textures and the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts (@philly_circus), and serving as a board member for the International Juggling Association.

Hey everyone! 🥹🧡🐉 Here is my @flowfestphilly recap video of my “Into the Matrix” intermediate/advanced dragon staff workshop I taught on October 4, 2026! We learned the three entryways into the matrix
(I got nervous doing my front view shoulder trap entryway so forgive the slop from that one. I was nervous to post because of it lol). With this move and any move I feel has to be continuously drilled. Even with the amount of times I’ve done the matrix, I still have some slops every now and then or my staff wasn’t centered properly to have them come out cleaner. But I’ve loved learning this move and now to be able to pass it along has been awesome

1. Cheating Death entryway - foundation move: The Cheating Death
2. Shoulder Trap entryway - foundation move: Shoulder Traps
3. Palm Spin/Propeller entryway - foundation move: Palm Spins and Propellers

I had the incredible honor of teaching two dragon staff workshops at Flow Fest Philly! It was a rainy day but we made it work out and there were so many beautiful dragons that came out 🐉🥹 this was also my FIRST Flow Arts Festival to teach! What an incredible milestone to show how much I’ve grown on my journey. There’s still so much to learn and evolve but I am blessed for this path.

Thank you @ridge_mountain for this video! ❤️‍🔥

Daytime Mystical Mesmerizer dragon hubs are from @flowbonacci 🌀

*ALSO if anyone needs help on hearing what I said, ask in the comments! I lost my voice over that weekend working Submersion b2b Flow Fest Philly so forgive me for my scratchy voice*

2026 has been one for the books 🥹 I didn’t think I’d have energy to spin fire after being on site for 12 hours at this point but boy was it all worth it? YES so much yes. I still can’t believe we made @flowfestphilly happen 🥹 truly still feels like an out of body experience like wait I did that? Never did I ever think I’d be a festival organizer but here we are 🙈🙈 what a joy and privilege it is to live this life we’ve created 🔥 and there is nothing like spinning fire with your friends 🤍 running into @controlled_kayoss was such a treat and sharing this circle moment with @autumnmovement.art and @danitheejester was a treasure 😘 thanks for hosting the fire circle @minimal_chaos_

After a magical weekend at @flowfestphilly I feel compelled to share an act that has meant so much to me. I will perform this act time and time again, as I continue to evolve, the act will evolve with me. This act is about coming out of a dark place, and finding hope and even joy .. all from a plastic circle ⭕️ I first performed this act at @flowstormtx and I am forever thankful for y’all giving me a chance 🤍 I had felt looked over in for years, applied time and time again to flow festivals- it honestly started to feel like a popularity contest and very cliquey. I was big sad as I had/have so much inside me I wanted to share. But I refused to give up and kept applying year after year.
Fast forward to this past weekend where I emceed the instructor showcase at a festival that I freaking made happen (like what???) and shared a bit of the soul that is Feeling Hoopful. I felt.. scared honestly, really vulnerable. After the show, I even almost regretted I sharing it with so many “strangers” in the room bc I was scared (anxiety is a bitch). But what came after, validated my beliefs that we humans need to share - we need to talk, and we are not alone even if our brains try to make us think so. At the fire circle, I was approached by so many beautiful souls that wanted to talk to me about my story - or thank me for sharing that vulnerable story. Since Sunday , so many people have DMd me and reached out to me that my story resonated with them, or how they’re inspired to create their own community now, or they had a similar experience of finding peace within once they found flow arts. So here’s part of my favorite act I’ve ever created. And thank you PhillyFest @phillyjugglers for having me on this one. Thank you to this community for accepting me as I am.
🎶 @ciaranmcauley
⭕️ @astralhoops thank you for choosing me 🤍

We just wrapped up @flowfestphilly , and I am feeling incredibly grateful and capable. Wildly capable.

Thank you to Cassandra and Tiffany, our community partners, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, instructors, and everyone who showed up and helped make this event happen, especially everyone who powered through the rain with us.

This was easily one of the biggest promotional projects I’ve taken on outside of my work in the music industry, and I’m really proud of what I brought to the team. A LOT of promotion, planning, coordination, problem-solving, and, yes, a ridiculous amount of my own gear went into making this happen. 😂

Now that it’s over, I also feel like I understand why Noel recommended me for this project in the first place. We got this shit done with a lot of care.

The full recap will probably take me a couple of weeks. Our drone operator wasn’t able to make it/make the recap video, so I’ll be filling in some of those gaps myself.

For now, I’m drying out gear to limit mold & electrical rust, taking very sweet care of my wet DJ controller 🥲, decompressing, and reflecting on just how much work went into what we created.

I’m very excited to continue building Fire and Flow Arts for Philadelphia, and I hope to see you with Minimal Chaos Productions and at Flow Fest Philly 2027.

Shout out to: @gregoryhample, @tanookitwirls, @marianna.dance1029, @jewelissa, @hoopskailahjoy_, @thehoopdoc, @sacredsirenn, @laurenraske_7txs, @sakitawine4me, @samthesaber, @3rd_gen_isler, @hannah.cirque, @flowfests, @noeltech, @f.ae_f.atale, @notjustaprettybase, @dr.circus_clown, @lexackson, @ninja__witch, @danceswithribbons, @spirit_lab_, @gingerrpuss, @noodlyflow, @boogleplexcircus, @getupart, @allgoodles & more! by @flowfestphilly

FLOW FEST came to the Lighthouse Field and IT WAS LIT! 🔥🔥🔥
I mean literally! 😂
The vibe was incredible. The energy, the music, the people, the whole atmosphere, it’s honestly hard to find the right words to describe it.
So instead of me trying to explain it
GO FOLLOW @FlowFestPhilly and see for yourself!
Thank you, Flow Fest Philly, for choosing the Lighthouse to bring your vibe, your flow, and your energy to our field.
This is what community looks like when the right people come together.
The Lighthouse Field was definitely feeling the FLOW!
