Caught my pb rainbow today coming in at 24 inches. Wild story... I hooked this fish in an 800cfs river and he tore off down stream at wicked speed I chased after him and it wasn’t until he jumped that I knew he was undoubtedly my biggest ever. After slipping and sliding (and swimming lol) my way almost 200 yards downstream till I realized I realized I no longer had my net. In a frantic effort I gave a nice tug and my rod snapped... and then figuring screw it I pulled him in on half a rod scooped him up and my buddy had a net for me to slip him into. Was so cold from falling in I started shaking and stripped down to my boxers and put on an emergency blanket as I warmed up in the sun. Yeah crazy day... -
