First time bringing this side of me to the gram.
I’ve been enjoying fabric and paper marbling as a hobby for years, but I’ve never really shared much of it here. I think it’s finally time to let you guys into this part of my creative world.
There’s something I love about marbling—the unpredictability of it. No two patterns are ever exactly the same, and somehow, you always end up creating something uniquely beautiful.
I’ll be sharing more of my experiments, patterns and creations here, so watch this space.
Hope you enjoy this side of my art as much as I enjoy creating it. I’d also be offering some classes on this very soon and absolutely free! by @foladavid

Last night bringing the Headies @the_headies to life on canvas at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto. 🇳🇬🇨🇦🎨

With gold against black and Toronto’s skyline woven into the painting, I wanted to capture what the Headies represents: the talent, ambition and cultural influence of African music transcending boundaries.

Painting this in a public square opened that story to everyone passing by. Some recognised the symbol. Others encountered it for the first time. Art gave us a place to meet.

This is why institutional partnerships matter to me. When artists, cultural institutions, brands and public spaces work together, they create opportunities for people to experience culture firsthand. They help our stories travel, introduce our work to new audiences and make room for meaningful exchange.

The Headies Toronto Awareness Activation.

Artist Foladavid, a Guinness World Records–recognized drawing artist, will create a Headies-inspired artwork live at Nathan Phillips Square, beside the iconic Toronto Sign, celebrating The Headies’ arrival in Toronto.

The activation will feature a live musical performance by SEWA, with Mr. Ayo Animashaun, Founder of The Headies, in attendance for a potential meet-and-greet with guests, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and few entertainment industry stakeholders.

The event is designed to generate awareness and excitement for The Headies in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), while showcasing African music, culture, creativity, and entertainment to the wider Toronto community. by @foladavid
