UNSCRIPTED. UNPLANNED. VERY VCI. While waiting for the official panel session to begin on Day 1 of Beauty in the Modeland, we somehow found ourselves creating our own. No script. No preparation. No production meeting. Just a conversation, a camera and an interesting perspective waiting to happen. I stepped into the role of host, invited BK to join me as my guest, and somehow our little “mock panel session” became a conversation worth capturing. And honestly, this is one of the things I love about experiencing brands and events. I don’t just want to attend. I want to experience the atmosphere, understand the story, meet the people behind the brands, discover the products, observe the audience and find the conversations happening beyond the stage. Because sometimes, the most interesting brand moments aren’t the ones that were planned. They happen organically. This is Day 1 of Beauty in the Motherland (Africa Biggest Beauty Event), and this little conversation was ours while we waited for the official programme to begin. 🎙️ Listen to my guest, BK. And to the team behind Beauty in the Motherland @beautyinthemotherland thank you for creating a space that sparked conversations even before the official conversations began. We’re looking forward to experiencing more of it over the next few days. At VCIMEDIA, we believe visibility is more than being seen. It’s about creating experiences people remember and stories people want to talk about. WE NEED TO BUILD FOR OUR OWN BEAUTY NEEDS. There is a lot to learn from the global beauty and aesthetics industry, but West Africa also has an opportunity to develop solutions that speak directly to its own people. That’s what @fredafrancis, George Chabtini, Dr. Beatrice Ige, @dr_dinma and @foladavid are unpacking at Beauty in the Motherland. The conversation is about creating an industry where African expertise, technology and understanding of skin of colour can come together. 📍 Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos #broadwaytv #fyp #viral

That’s one of the questions being explored by @fredafrancis, George Chabtini, Dr. Beatrice Ige, @dr_dinma and @foladavid at Beauty in the Motherland. The panel is looking at how West Africa can build stronger expertise, better standards and more relevant aesthetic solutions for its population. 📍 Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos

AFRICAN SKIN, AFRICAN SOLUTIONS. The conversation around aesthetic care is changing, and this panel is asking an important question: Are we creating enough solutions specifically for people of colour? At Beauty in the Motherland, @fredafrancis, George Chabtini, Dr. Beatrice Ige, @dr_dinma and @foladavid are sharing their perspectives on building an aesthetic industry that understands African skin and African beauty needs. A conversation that goes beyond appearance and into expertise, safety, innovation and representation. 📍 Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos #broadwaytv #fyp #viral

BEAUTY CARE SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE SKIN IT SERVES. Aesthetic care for people of colour comes with its own considerations, and that is exactly what the panel at Beauty in the Motherland is exploring. @fredafrancis, George Chabtini, Dr. Beatrice Ige, @dr_dinma and @foladavid are discussing the importance of developing expertise, technology and services that recognise the realities of African skin. It’s a much-needed conversation about representation, quality and raising the standard of aesthetic care across West Africa. 📍 Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos #broadwaytv #fyp #viral
