After months of design, production, testing, and tuning, we’re proud to share our custom-built sound system with you.

FFF Sound System is a modular, four-way speaker system built for high-fidelity sound, clarity, and adaptability. Designed for club nights, live performances, and critical listening, it delivers consistent sound across diverse spaces.

Interchangeable oblate spheroidal horns provide focused directivity with minimal spill. It features Italian B&C drivers, Hypex Class-D amplifiers, and Baltic birch enclosures framed in BSB aluminium for durability and acoustic integrity.

With removable wheels, stackable modules, and custom room tuning, it’s made for both mobility and permanent installs. Each installation includes room-specific tuning because we believe that great sound is always shaped by the space it lives in.

This has been a real labor of love.

Now available for rental and sale.

Form Follows Frequency (FFF) is a Rotterdam-based studio working at the intersection of sound, design, and engineering. The studio designs and builds high-performance sound systems, acoustic environments, and site-specific sound installations that bridge spatial design and sonic experience.

Founded by acoustical engineer Florent Gatin ( @thesoundartisan ) and architect & designer Miguel Herreras ( @miguel___herreras ) , FFF brings acoustic engineering and spatial design together within a single, integrated workflow. This hybrid approach allows technical precision and design expression to evolve simultaneously, ensuring that sound, form, and space are conceived as one from the earliest stages of a project.

It’s been a month since @echo__687 officially opened its doors, and it’s been amazing to see such a great response.

We’ve had a lot of positive feedback on the sound system, and it’s exciting to hear such great artists playing through it.

A few weeks ago, @michelemargotphoto captured these beautiful shots during @stevenjulien new album release 😍

Always a good feeling to see the system doing what it was made for! taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @formfollowsfrequency

Very excited to finally share some pictures of the project we designed and built for @echo__687 ⭕️🔊

We developed a bespoke sound system tailored to the space, aiming to achieve the highest possible sound quality within the existing architectural conditions. The geometry and coverage patterns were carefully designed around the proportions of the interior, ensuring controlled, even dispersion and a precise listening experience.

The main system consists of two speaker towers positioned on either side of the bar, defining the primary listening area. Four additional filler speakers extend coverage into the table area, creating a consistent sound field throughout the listening bar while maintaining the same tonal character and level of control across the space.

Configuration: 5-way sound system
Top module: 3-way Oblate Spheroid Multi Entry Horn, 90°x 60° Dispersion, 200Hz-20kHz.
Low Mid Module: 15” Sealed Box, 80Hz-200Hz
Sub Module: 18” 4th-Order Bandpass Subwoofer, 27Hz-80Hz
Peak SPL (per cabinet): ~128dB @ 1m
Fillers: 6.5” Coaxial Sealed box, 80Hz-20kHz

Bespoke MEH_OS for @echo__687

We designed and built a custom sound system for ECHO, Rotterdam’s new listening bar. The feedback so far has been incredible. More insights into the design process coming soon. 🔉 taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @formfollowsfrequency

Super excited to share our latest collaboration with @yyplusplus for JUNGLE STORE in Madrid.

We designed and built a bespoke sound system fully integrated into the spatial language of the interior. Rather than treating audio as an addition, the system was conceived as part of the architectural intervention itself.

The speakers were custom-built for the space, with a strong focus on horn directivity, controlled coverage, and room interaction. Geometry and dispersion were carefully tuned to the proportions of the interior, creating a precise yet intimate listening environment throughout the space.

Configuration: 2-way active speakers, fixed-install
Horn: oblate spheroid waveguide, 1.4” throat
Dispersion: 90° horizontal × 30° vertical

[TYLKO SPACE BERLIN]

Earlier this year, we completed an 18-speaker installation across three rooms at the new Tylko Space in Berlin.

Designed and tuned to integrate seamlessly with Tylko’s modular shelving system, this project marks the first public installation of the @tylko speakers.

This is the part you don’t usually see, but it’s what makes it real. Our beloved Tylko speakers recently went through their certification process. Tested, measured, and validated to meet all required standards before release.

Getting closer to launch!

2 very exciting collaborations about to drop.

At the same time, we’ve been developing our own amplifiers as part of the next system update.

FFF is expanding. Stay tuned! 📢 taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @formfollowsfrequency

Tylko Sound System is live!

And we’ve watched this video about 1000 times 🥹

Not just because we edited it. But because we still can’t get over the fact that we made our own sound system that looks this good and sounds even better. Engineered across Europe, resulting in the purest sound possible.

And that people like @paulcournet or @formfollowsfrequency worked on it. And mostly because the moment Paul slides the speaker into the shelf is unbelievably satisfying. Want to feel that at home? Check out the link in bio - the Tylko Sound is now available in limited quantities. by @formfollowsfrequency
