After having chickens for almost 2 years we have an olive egger!!! This is Jalie (pronounced Halle which is short for Jalapeño.) she’s a spicy hen just like her name. She just started laying this week and she is a mix between one of our black French Maran hens and an Easter Egger roo we had. The top egg is from our Maran hens and the bottom egg is from our Easter eggers. It’s amazing to see what features carry on or change. I could not be happier to have a rainbow selection of eggs. by @franklyjustnikki
