100 CHAIRS is now officially open. 100 CHAIRS features the work of over 100 Australian creatives, studios, artists, architects and practices exploring the chair as a medium. The exhibition provides a platform for creatives at all career levels to present work collectively.

Please join us tomorrow night from 6-9pm to celebrate the opening and the exhibitors.

We were on the floor at the South Magdalen Laundry, Abbotsford Convent as 100 CHAIRS opened for Melbourne Design Week 2026. Over 100 Australian creatives, studios, artists, architects and practices, all exploring a single object. To see the chair reimagined at this scale, and with this much care, is to understand the form entirely differently.⁠

On Thursday 14 May 100 CHAIRS will open, presenting the work of over 130 creatives, studios, architects and practices all exploring the chair as a medium.

Open 11am-6pm daily until 24 May in South Magdalen Laundry, Abbotsford Convent. Please join us on Saturday 16 May from 6-9pm for the opening party.
