Successfully convinced my mom to get a matching tattoo with me. Stay tuned. Sometimes I forget that my mom was once a young girl with dreams of her own. She probably wanted to feel free, to explore, to love fully, to become whoever she wanted to be. I’m currently living the life she may have only imagined. A reminder to never take it for granted. by @from.hau

Every April started to feel the same, like I was starting from zero. But sometimes you lose everything just to realize you still have yourself. Sometimes you move backwards just to finally see how far you’ve come. This life is truly a game, you don’t win it once, you keep playing it…just with upgrades. You never really go back to zero. You return to the starting line, but with new skill sets, new abilities, pattern recognition, and emotional resilience. The game of life is the game of making your own choices and living with the consequences. The only way to lose is to stop playing. See you on the next level 👋 by @from.hau

Last year, I wished that all the cards you were dealt would be winning hands. But relying on luck alone leave us at the mercy of circumstances beyond our control. Every card we’re dealt holds a win, if we take the time to see it. Every hand, difficult or easy, is a chance to learn, grow, and find meaning. May we play them with courage, curiosity, and love, discovering the hidden wins in every hand. Here’s to a Lunar New Year full of perspective, resilience, and shared joy. by @from.hau

A lot of my youth was spent chasing external milestones without questioning where they came from. Trying to meet expectations I had absorbed from family, relationships, culture, and society. Trying to “do life right.”What I see now is that I wasn’t chasing the business, the house, or the husband. I was chasing a feeling. Stability. Safety. A sense of being okay. I learned to prioritize being impressive, responsible, and ahead and forgot to ask myself what I actually wanted, needed, or identified with. This year, I’m not making New Year’s resolutions.I’m making less extrinsic goals and more intrinsic goals: make decisions from a regulated body. Slow down before i speed up. Consistency over intensity. Rest without needing to earn it. Trust myself without needing proof. Let relationships and work grow without forcing permanence. Less fear, more presence. Cheers to numerology year 1, new beginnings that start from self. Less repeating old patterns, more choosing intentionally. Perfectly paired with the year of the Horse, movement, freedom, and momentum. Not being pulled by expectations, but moving forward on your own terms.Feels like the right year to lead with clarity instead of pressure. 🥳 by @from.hau

2025 is year 9 in numerology. It’s the final year of a nine year cycle, bringing closure and a chance to integrate lessons learned since 2016. A time to release old patterns, emotional wounds, and anything that no longer serves you, making way for the future. It might look like I did a lot this year, but externally, not much was happening. I worked less, so money felt tighter. I didn’t cook or clean as much because my mom was around. I didn’t push myself at the gym I chose rest instead. It felt like my body was decompressing after years of living in survival mode. It was hard not beating myself up everyday for not doing more. That slowing down showed up in my relationships too.I realized I had forgotten how to simply coexist with someone else without fears. So yes, not much changed on the outside because this was the year I worked on the inside. Learning to sit in stillness. To stay with discomfort. To pause and choose a different response than I would have before. The internal war was brutal. But it taught me to trust divine timing and stop forcing outcomes.Sometimes the most important work doesn’t look like anything at all. But when I compare who I am now to who I was before…the difference is undeniable. by @from.hau

Key takeaway from this trip: Responsibility = Response-abilityAs long as I can remember, I’ve carried this invisible pressure to do something with my life. Part of it is bc I know my potential but mostly bc of my family.I grew up watching my mom hold everything together and as I got older, I decided that it was my job to make it all worth it. That belief made me driven, but it also made me afraid. I kept living like freedom and rest had to be earned. I couldn’t rest until I reached some invisible point of “enough.” But what I’ve been realizing slowly is that true responsibility is learning how to respond to life from love, not fear. It doesn’t mean carrying everything and everyone.Freedom means remembering that I can love my family and still choose myself. That time spent loving, learning, or even “failing,” is never wasted because they all shape my capacity to love, create, and hold more life. This trip reminded me that freedom and responsibility were always meant to balance each other. And the real success I’ve been chasing isn’t about how much I can do for everyone else…but how fully I can live while doing it. Time isn’t wasted when it’s lived. by @from.hau
