Had the pleasure of speaking at the University of Maryland Project Management Symposium.

“Sustainable Leadership: Managing Yourself Before Managing the Project”

This presentation was about how imperative it is that we as leaders prioritize our own wellbeing so that we can engage with our teams from a space of regulation. Honoring our own capacity so we can honor the capacity of those around us.

I introduced “The Menu Method” a time management framework I developed that provides a structure to help us prioritize the areas of life that are important to us while also remaining flexible to the ever changing nature of life.

I really enjoyed getting to dialogue with the audience afterwards. It gave me an opportunity to highlight the fundamental mission behind the work: shifting the paradigm of work culture away from hustle culture and burnout as the norm into one where systems are redesigned with our humanness and what we need to be well and whole as a priority.

Im looking forward to bringing this workshop to more teams and organizations. by @glowbygrounded

Just had a good cry and talk with the trees about things I don’t have the words to share with humans and felt like a fitting time to share this video that’s been in my archives for a minute.

Memories from me and @ui_seng month long road trip around the US in 2020 still hold me to this day ✨🫶🏿

This land is so beautiful and has so much to teach us. Still learning to serve the creator like a tree 💓 by @glowbygrounded

Been in a season of letting go and there’s been a looooottt or resistance. I realized I was struggling to let get because it felt like a loss. I feared that I didn’t have what it takes to rebuild.

But then I remembered who tf I am and that all I need is within me. The true value in the season that I’m stepping out of isn’t in the tangible, but in the ways that I’ve grown and the person I’ve become which can never be taken from me. ✨ by @glowbygrounded

We really missed an opportunity for a @officialspikelee New York Summer and I don’t like that for us.

Spike said this movie is about “how do you handle success without losing yourself” and I feel like the answer is to stay connected to your roots and your community.

The press tour for this movie (or lack thereof) was such a missed opportunity to show some love to New York and the community that inspired so many of Spike’s films.

Next time, just call me yall by @glowbygrounded
