Day Retreat vibes @lacasawell. I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day fellowshipin’ with some really dope people in Merida doing amazing things.
_
I just want to remind the wellness facilitators that in order to sustain yourself, you must allow others to hold space for you too.
_
That goes for doctors, nurses, teachers, doulas, massage therapists and anyone else who is responsible for holding space for others per their job description.
•
Invest in yourself. Link in bio for upcoming experiences led by yours truly!

Such a beautiful memory seeing some of the most influential healers in my life coming together 🙏🏿

Had my teacher @eze_okoye pass through Casa Well recently. So much gratitude to my sister @nana_mistica_magica_ancestral_ and brother @callixibalbaa for holding space for us in a traditional temezcal ceremony.

They exude soooo much love and being in ceremony with their family has changed me forever. 🙏🏿

I am truly honored and grateful to them for the spaces they hold and for me and Casa Well guests.

Experiencing the fresh waters of a Cenote is an ethereal experience like no other! Cenotes are underground freshwater sinkholes; or as the Mayan word ‘Dzonot’ describes them, “natural wells.” The Yucatán peninsula contains more cenotes than anywhere else in the world. It is believed that many of the cenotes here were formed after the asteroid that caused the dinosaurs to go extinct struck the earth. Cenotes are very sacred in Mayan culture because to them, the Cenotes were passages into the underworld. If you ever have the opportunity to visit a Cenote wether during a Casa Well experience or on your own, it is highly encouraged to do so with honor and respect for both the earth and the beautiful cultural history. 🌀

Have you ever practiced Egyptian yoga?

One of my favorite postures, Khepra aka beetle (& ft in the cover photo of this reel), is the emblem @erykahbadu has in her branding🪲 it represents transformation.

Yoga invites us to unite our physical and spiritual self to do just that - transform.

I aim to do #yogaeverydamnday since I earned my certification last year, but sometimes life happens.

My curlfriend & fellow instructor @wattsjonice has been my accountability buddy on a 100 days of consecutive yoga goal. We started during the fall equinox (almost there!) and the lessons have been abundant.

Although I haven’t been teaching public classes (partially due to my active travel schedule), I find the utmost joy in sharing my yoga practice and these sacred teachings in intimate settings w friends & family along the journey.

Alllll this to say:
• commit to yourself
• find an accountability buddy (or 3)
• share the journey
AND WATCH HOW YOU TRANSFORM!

Downloads from my meditation that week: “Love on you so much that anything anyone else brings you is extra.”

With gratitude,
Dr. Rho Wellness 💋
