Take Me Home closed out its LA run at @am_cinematheque— home of @prooffilmfestival where the proof of concept short took home the Grand Jury Award in 2024.

Closing out our run, 9-1-1 star @oliverstarkk joined us to give a special introduction to the film. Oliver first met Liz through Ryan Murphy’s HALF Initiative Director Shadowing Program.

CAPE’s @graceyhkao moderated an amazing conversation with our writer-director-producer @lizziesarge and director of photography @farhadcine.

Huge thank you to @juliasgouw @half.initiative @capeusa @antigravityacademy for co-hosting our LA finale.

More opportunities to catch Take Me Home can be found at the link in our bio! taken in Los Angeles, California by @graceyhkao

This weekend we pulled off the almost-impossible feeling feat of putting together the CAPE 35th Anniversary Gala - the biggest iteration of the gala that our team has attempted. @capeusa #cape35

This is the team:
Rhian (Head of Programs, the beating heart of CAPE)
Jes @jesvu (External Affairs Director, our connector and voice)
Michelle @michsugi (Executive Director, madam president)
Sabrina @ssabrinapoon (Admin & Events Coordinator, badass)
Me (Deputy Director, safety net lol)
Chandni @csharma (VP & Head of Strategic Development, keeping us sustainable)

Gina, Marcus, Jenn and Olivia are the most incredible events team in the world. They’ve steered us through every iteration of gala with cheer and good grace, and we would be lost without them. 💖

Trying to do hard things, including getting more photos of myself at events. Thank you to everyone who pushed me to take more, and thank you Sthanlee for always finding everyone’s best light.

Randall Park, who we’ve supported since before we ever had programs. Randall is a real one: generous with his time and attention, kind to everyone, talented.

Chanpan @chanpanmusic with an enthralling performance. Grace, Lance and Matthew are true musicians 💜

Doing hard things included getting up onstage to speak. Thrilled I got to introduce my friend Liz and speak on the importance of sustaining support for independent filmmakers, two things I feel passionate about. 🤭

Bruges, Belgium 🇧🇪

“It’s a fairytale town, isn’t it? How’s a fairytale town not somebody’s fucking thing? How can all those canals and bridges and cobbled streets and those churches, all that beautiful fucking fairytale stuff, how can that not be somebody’s fucking thing, eh? … How can fucking swans not fucking be somebody’s fucking thing, eh?“

Turns out, Bruges is my fucking thing. 🦢🩶 taken in Bruges, Belgium by @graceyhkao

Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱 - continued my art tourism at the Rijksmuseum.

Favorite overheard quote: visitor demanding of a museum guard: “So… where are the Dutch masters?”

Favorite details shown, including a saucy cat at the end. taken in Rijksmuseum by @graceyhkao

Got my pictures back from the Christmas Day Chiefs-Raiders game. I had to buy a hat, and even bundled up with a warm jacket, gloves, and a blanket, I was still freezing after 30 minutes in 45 degrees. Today’s game against the Dolphins looks to be shaping up to -15 with windchill. 🥶 stay safe everyone ❄️🧊

Waiting on some pics before I do a roundup post of Patty’s wedding, but I couldn’t resist getting this one on the grid. 5+ years and we have maybe a handful of pictures together?
