It took two attempts, but finally all the work is complete!

Huge thank you’s to Ric @winecountrymachinetool for his diligence and insistence on perfect vs being good enough. The wheels had to go back after the first go around. Ric’s suggestion of the pulley being powder coated too was spot on. Do not hesitate to reach out to Ric for precision work that you want done right the first time.

I’m really glad for the push from @greg_clouse3 to get the wheels blacked out! That’s what friends are for! I appreciate you Greg!

Next, ride the bike with 13psi in the air ride shocks and see how they absorb bumps in combination with the @michelinusa Commander III tires installed by Jesse @cyclegear_pleasanton. Starting pressure will be 34psi in front and rear.

This will be my first ride on a Harley so there is a ton of work to do with ergonomics as this bike does not fit me at all. I tools on the top box so I can make adjustments as I go. Planned ride time is an hour and that should be on point.

Fuel next and then get this ride/task completed!

First challenge is to stop putting my feet on the asphalt when I take off from a traffic light or stop sign. I’m failing miserably at the moment…!!!

Custom builds……. Do you love them or hate them?

This type of build is by far my favorite as I get to work with a builder and owner where a created vision becomes a produced work of art. I rarely get this kind of treat and opportunity…..

In this case, a 900 Supersport torn down and rebuilt as a cafe custom. Wow…..

My neighbor Greg Clouse came up with all the design concepts via his talents that are evidenced by his exceptional work with wood @greg_clouse3

Ric @winecountrymachinetool took the base design and tore into the chassis, components and engine to create a perfect custom with meticulous attention to detail.

For those looking for this level of focus with a build and absolute commitment to detail, please contact Ric via 707-513-0918. It is money well spent! He has my GT550 at present.

I put a base setting into the bike for sag, preload and damping as front and rear are fully adjustable. Greg will ride the Saturday afternoon and I will have done data from the ride to enhance the baseline.

A custom bike with full custom geometry, ergonomics, suspension and chassis to play with!

This going to be an awesome project and I am very grateful to be included in it.
