Doing what I do for “work”, often reminds me of one of the hardest chapters in my life that I walked through over 10 years ago. I look back and am truly shocked at how brave I was and how many obstacles I overcame so young. I’m beyond grateful for that time in my life because it changed me for the better and helped me become who I am today. I hope this video finds the women that are facing an unplanned pregnancy in this moment and gives them a glimpse of what life can truly be like behind such a scary decision. Your life is not over… it’s actually just begun.
My unplanned pregnancy journey is what continues to fuel me to help change the way society and college campuses view women in unplanned pregnancies. Fair warning: Incoming long, sappy mama post. 🥹❤️

She’s been at all 3 of my bodybuilding shows each year since she was just a toddler. Watching me train, watching me push myself, watching me do things that are hard. And while I hope she’s proud of her mama, what I hope even more is that she’s learning something far bigger than anything I could ever accomplish on a stage. ❤️

The day before my show, my mom took her on a hike. At one point, she wanted to climb up on a big rock with her older brothers, but her Mimi told her she couldn’t because it was too hard.

Without missing a beat, she responded, “Mimi, I can do hard things, you know?”

And when her dad told me that story, my heart could have burst.

Because THAT. That right there is what I’ve been trying to instill in her since she was born.

That she is strong. That she is capable. That hard doesn’t mean impossible. That she doesn’t have to shy away from something just because it challenges her. And that she is so much stronger than she even realizes.

Bodybuilding may look like it’s about building muscles, but for me, it’s about so much more. It’s about showing my daughter what it looks like to work hard for something, to keep showing up when things get uncomfortable, and to believe in yourself even when something feels out of reach.

But I think the part that makes me the most emotional is knowing that her strength doesn’t have to be born out of the hard things life puts her through. It can be born out of love. Out of encouragement. Out of growing up surrounded by people who remind her of what she’s capable of before she ever has a reason to doubt it.

I don’t want her to have to become strong because life forced her to be. I want her to grow up knowing she’s strong because she’s been told, shown, and reminded of it her entire life.

And if all these years of watching her mama chase big goals have taught her even a little bit of that, then I’ve already won something far greater than any trophy or crown I’ll ever bring home. 🥹💖 I love you so much baby girl. This one is for you!✨

Heavenly Father, today I lift up my five precious children as they begin a new school year.

May they carry the light of Jesus into every classroom and every conversation they encounter.

Let them be a blessing to everyone they meet through their kindness, compassion, and courage.

Protect their hearts and minds, and remind them that You are always with them.

May others see Your love through their words and actions, and may they glorify You in all they do.

Six!!!! How did this happen so quickly?!

To my strong, brave, outgoing little girl who is full of energy…you are such a gift. I thank the Lord every single day for choosing me to be your mom.

My prayer for you is that you dream bigger than I ever had the courage to dream, walk more confidently than I ever could, and never doubt the incredible purpose God has for your life. Stay kind, stay fearless, and never lose that spark that makes you YOU!

This month we celebrate 14 years of marriage. 🥹

It truly blows my mind that we’ve built this beautiful life together. A strong marriage centered on Jesus. Five healthy, thriving kids. Countless memories we’ll cherish forever.

We’ve walked through seasons that stretched us, shaped us, and brought us even closer. Through it all, God has been faithful.

I’m so grateful I get to do this life with you. Looking back, I never could have imagined all that God had in store for us. I can’t wait to see what the years ahead hold.
