Todavía estoy en shock y buscando las palabras. Por ahora, solo quiero decir gracias por invitarme @honeywell_aero a compartir de una manera real mi experiencia humana y por incluirme en un cuarto con tantas mujeres tan poderosas e inspiradoras 🥹💕🙌🏼

Nunca he hablado públicamente de mi experiencia de recuperación de CPTSD y otras luchas con mi salud mental, aunque han impactado cada parte de mi vida. Y hablar de estas cosas de una manera que no se enfoca en el trauma, sino en la sabiduría y el crecimiento personal después… para ayudar a otra gente a sentirse más normal y menos sola en su experiencia humana también, es otra cosa. 🥺

Como yo, mi niña interior todavía está procesando que nuestros sueños se están haciendo realidad.

Lo que no sabes es que estaba taaaan nerviosa para esta charla. 😂 Pero con esta experiencia me di cuenta de algo.

✨Nunca me voy a sentir completamente cómoda. Pq toda mi vida voy a seguir empujando mis límites para crecer y actualizar mis sueños✨

Así soy.

Y no soy la única. Las mujeres en el panel que compartieron sus historias también son así. Somos mujeres dedicadas a vivir una vida auténtica. Mujeres que necesitaban aprender cómo dejar el dolor y recoger el momento con gratitud y alegría.

Aun así… no ha sido fácil.

Ayer, sí tenía miedo… okay, estaba freaking out (un poquito). Pero también me presenté. Y al hacerlo, me demostré que tengo valentía.

✨Y porque digo sí a las oportunidades que se me presentan —con miedo— crezco✨

Si yo puedo seguir y vivir una vida de mis sueños—dando charlas para celebrar la resiliencia y la fuerza de las mujeres aquí en Puerto Rico, en Honeywell Aerospace 🤯 en español (!!!)… pues, tú también puedes.

Show me your hype folder 👀

A hype folder is where you keep the receipts of your impact. It is a physical box, binder, or a digital folder where you store nice messages from other people. It’s an encouraging place for you to turn to when you start feeling disconnected from your purpose, are losing hope or motivation, & would benefit from a reminder that your existence actually makes a difference.

This is a peek into mine.

I share mine to remind you A) it’s okay to be awesome and B) to show you the level of impact you can have when you stop trying to fix yourself and start showing up as your most authentic you!

How to move towards your most authentic, awesome self:

1️⃣ Start by hyping yourself up! Block 60 mins on your calendar this weekend to build yourself a Hype Folder
If you don’t have a folder yet, screenshot some texts or dig up old birthday cards. Put them into a carousel with photos that make you feel amazing. Tag #cosana so I can celebrate you too!

2️⃣ Learn to be uncontrollable. In a society obsessed with self-control, of course you feel insecure. If you’re ready to retrain your brain to rely less on things outside of yourself to feel purposeful, confident, & content in your life, DM me. My programs help humans like you, break the habit of self-comparison, reframe insecurity to be educational, & rely less on external validation by teaching you practical tools to cultivate unwavering self-worth.

You want to be a leader? A protector?

Then SPEAK UP.

Your silence is just as harmful as your laughter.

How can men tell women “not all men” or “it was just a joke” when the algorithm sent 18,000 misogynists (men who hate women or view women as less than human) directly to @haleyschiek page this week.

Why?

She posted a critique about @shanemgillis and his most recent @nbcsnl and instagram sent it straight to all of his fans.

Turns out, his fanbase is built on men who feel comfortable saying things like:

“You’re retarded.”
“The rib is talking again.”
“That’s what the girl was wearing with the Cornell seven.”
“I am Shane Doe.”
“Shut up sweet cheeks.”
“Bend over so I can put my d!ck inside you.”
“You bought them (the shorts).”
“It’s just a joke.”

There are HUNDREDS of these comments.
All cruel.
All ignorant.
All from men.

It’s time for men to step up. And tell other men to shut up. Bc using language like this is exactly what r@pe culture is built on.

That is exactly why we’re posting this video— to say enough. To say stop acting like a fkn chicken.

To invite you to be an active part of the solution, to stop perpetuating life threatening problems like sexual harassment and sexism through ignorance, avoidance, and entitlement, and to educate yourself on the role you play in keeping a broken system the same.

We all deserve to live joyful, audacious, authentic lives and feel safe doing it. That is freedom.

People who are free don’t fall for the pressure to fit in (I.e. prove your manhood). People who are free cannot be controlled, silenced, or convinced to sacrifice their values for the illusion of love, safety, or belonging.

This content experiment is out of control. I’m disgusted by the demeaning and dehumanizing things thousands of men are happy to say to a woman (ME) on the internet.

If you’re into cheap comedy and enjoy @shanemgillis just know people who like him also tend to enjoy dehumanizing women on the internet. So by all means, go ahead. Like him. Just don’t also tell me that you’re a “protector” or man who has “done the work.”

In choosing silence or laughter in moments like this, I want to be clear that you are CHOOSING to do NOTHING to protect women from sexual violence.

A man healthily rooted in their masculine would be reaching out to female friends, reposting content that supports reeducation against the domination and sexualization of women, and reflecting on ways they can better support women in feeling safe from men.

Not arguing to make it seem like it’s MY fault this is happening, mainsplain social media, or “approach the situation with logic” when my video is the logic that the men have been missing in the first place because they’re too busy believing I can’t have anything valid or important to say!

It should be self explanatory to men at this point why so many women feel unsafe and angry with you. We don’t know which attitudes each of you has internalized, what kind of joke you’re willing to laugh at when you’re not in front of us. How far you guys are willing to take things.

How disrespectful you’re willing to treat us when push comes to shove. When it suits you. If it props up your ego.

In my opinion (which is based off of MY experience)—

People who “do the work” don’t find “jokes” like Shane makes funny. It’s lazy humor at best. I’d argue it isn’t humor, though. it’s just a dude unknowingly revealing his insecurities and ignorance on live TV.

As disgusting as the comments are, they are also helping me prove the point that it is never “just a joke.” It is always deeper than the shorts.

Interrupting your feed to say keep up the good work ladies ⭐️👍🏼

sorry the world is like this right now. Yes, you’re right. It is unfair, exhausting, & utterly disgusting existing as a woman in patriarchy.

Don’t let your mind convince you that you are a part of the problem.

What you’re doing to support yourself and everyone you love is enough.

You deserve rest, peace of mind, and time to disengage.

Remember— over functioning is a trauma response. Patriarchy is not yours to fix. It’s okay to sit back and let the men do their work.

You think you’re defective and doomed to fail?

Sounds like chicken sh¡t to me.

Sounds like what someone else wants you to believe because that assumption is far more convenient & profitable than the truth—

The truth is— to be happy here, you need a bigger life.
You need to be more weird, more messy, more authentic, more audacious and more outrageous.

You need to stop listening to the chickens.
& learn to listen your Self.
