A symbolic 8 year anniversary ♾️ @jazza_gribs

Yesterday we were married in a traditional north eastern Thai wedding ceremony in my dad’s village in Nong Bua Lamphu, in the presence of my grandparents (dad parents), with our immediate families by our side.

One tradition included family, friends and other villages tying thin bracelets made with cotton threads that have been blessed. They represent good luck, protection, fortune and love, bestowed by those tying them on us.

Jarrod, thank you for embracing my culture so gracefully, enthusiastically and joyfully. The smile on your face never disappearing despite being thrown into the unknown. Your family has wrapped me in their arms and have welcomed me into your culture for the past 8 years and so I’m glad the favour could finally be returned. How lucky are we to be loved in so many different corners of the earth and have our union celebrated in so many ways?

I’m so grateful the things we’ve shared all these years are enriched by so many moments and experiences like this one. I can’t wait for the big dance this Saturday… now to write my vows 🤍 taken in Nong Bua Lamphu by @happypookky

Two weeks ago under the Phuket sky and coconut trees, surrounded by the Andaman sea and 64 of our loved ones, we said “I do”.

It’s hard to describe the love that was present on this day. From our best friend marrying us, to the gifted Tivavae from Jarrod’s grandpa that we proudly stood on, to the personal vows and promises we made to one another. So many moments of love, joy and culture that lay the groundwork for our relationship were represented.

A big thank you to our loved ones that travelled far and wide to be a part of our day, and those that couldn’t be there, whose presence and embraced was felt throughout. Our parents and bridal party, including our siblings, who showered us with so much support and helped us prepare for the entire week, we are indebted to you and so thankful to you.

So excited to share more of our special day soon x

GRWM: Wedding Day edition 😜👰🏻‍♀️

It was a beautiful and calm morning with some butterflies and deep grounded breathes in between. Practicing our ‘dip’ the morning of definitely caused some belly laughs and calmed the nerves before we said goodbye for the day. The girls truly kept me sane and were at the aid all day and I’m so thankful for them. The day went by both so fast and so slow at the same time and before I knew it, it was time to walk 🥹 by @happypookky

2025, the biggest and best year of my life 🥹

Travelled to America for the first time in February
Moved to the Gold Coast in March
Celebrated Jarrod’s 30th in May
Had my biggest freelancing contract in June which allowed me to work between NZ/AUS.
Found my feet at the gym and lost 7kgs (since March) in September
Had my 28th birthday and bachelorette in October
Planned a 3 week family trip to Thailand and had our Thai wedding in November
Married my best friend and then had our biggest @fade_akl release in December.

Not that it was all clear skies and smooth sailing. The homesickness and stress of wedding planning nearly took me out. There were times I didn’t know if we’d be able to achieve such audacious plans. But I wouldn’t have changed a thing and I’m so grateful for our support system for being there for us and the abundance of experiences that this year bought 🤍
