4 years between drinks, dusting off the cobwebs on the old insta.

Been a long and great 9 years at MAGS as a rower/coxswain and coach.

What an eventful last 14 months with the programme. Here are the tangibles I'm grateful to have been a part of.

🥇Two national titles, first novice one in recent @westendrc club history and this season first in @magsrownz girls history.

🚣‍♀️ Highest ever finish at Maadi in the GU18 8+. The girls were bloody amazing

🥈First ever GU18 medal in programme history. What a journey with the pair. @olivia.tattersfield @lily_curnoww I am so privileged to have worked with the two of you and can't wait to see what you do in the future!!

🥇 🥈 🥉 Most successful Maadi in MAGSROW history, what a great team of rowers, coaches and committee members to bring it home with. @germainhw Pleasure doing it alongside ya

Then to finish off with the recent North Island team taking the U18 N vs S title was the cherry on top. The last time the north won it was when I was in high school!!

However, it's the intangibles that hold more value in this journey.

Ravi/Rui/Brad/Cole - this is a MAGS orientated post but it really started with you 4. Cheers fellas for teaching me what it is to go through a journey of struggle and challenge. Without your belief and support at the end of the 2022/23 season I would never be where I am now.

@goons_with_spoonz - thank you for teaching me how to have fun and enjoy life within the sport. Across the past season my growth as a human has been incredible and I have felt such a close connection with all 12 of you that it has enabled me to find new limits and boundaries as a person and coach.

@osullijam thank you for your trust and support across the past season. To take a risk not just have me coach school girls for the first time but also coach at U18, super grateful for your trust.

Special mention also goes to @denyeralice and @brown4387 for being a massive part of continuing this journey. You both have inspired me to achieve great heights and without your help and support I would not be here now.

Not ready for this dream to end but life and the end of a degree calls.

Catch you around MAGS. Was a blast. taken in Dream World by @hasanpathan7242

Rowing and Squash - What an odd Duo. Lots of natural energy in the first one and the resultant aftermath of tiredness the day after in the 2nd one. Thanks for the squash award @titirangiracketsclub by @hasanpathan7242

Today It was duly pointed out to me that I might be a bit shy of the camera, and to be honest I was pretty shocked when from the last 5 years of my schooling life I could only find 12 photos !!
I just wanted to take the time to be grateful for where I am today, there are people that are in less fortunate positions and I really appreciate how my life has ended up over the past 5 years. The point I'm at now is a doorway to adulthood (constantly reminded by my nagging but perfect family - they're always there for me, no matter whatever's going on in my life - a strong base), I'm happy at where my road has taken me in life in regards to my religion, my motivations and my goals in life. I couldn't have asked to be in a better position at this point in life spiritually, mentally and physically. The friends I made during this time - I honestly couldn't have ended up where I am today without each of you. Thanks to everyone that was involved in this journey through the past 5 years and I wish each and every one of you the best for the future - stay positive, the end and a new beginning is near. by @hasanpathan7242
