Femvasion 4 this weekend @10thplanetbocaraton was a success. Thank you @lilasmadja for helping me create this weekend even tho you couldn’t come. I love and miss you! Feeling so much gratitude for everyone that made this possible. Our main sponsors @anuttaraboca @risewith_a_grindcoffee @gaidama.usa @10thplanetpasadena @rollingotterwear. Our mornings started with coffee from @risewith_a_grindcoffee and it was so delicious and made it feel at home for everyone. 5 minutes before the match today I sat breathing and focusing on my breath with immense gratitude for the present moment. Sure I was nervous. Like really nervous. It had been 6 years since I competed and even longer in straight jiu jitsu. But I knew I needed a strong opponent and a great organization @desertduals to bring out the best in me. And I got just that. I’m so grateful for @mylene_bjj for taking this match even tho she had little experience in no gi. She stepped up and showed her team that didn’t matter. And doing hard things pay off. Even without a win. She still gave me a very tough match and lost by only 2 points. I’m so grateful for my corner @lillypadbjj @mercedestucson @mieshatate. Some bad ass women right there. All like sisters to me! The support of my old @xcmma teammates and my Sports psychologist @rmsportpsych all in attendance. Feeling the love and support! Thank you all who reached out before and after the match as well. Thank you @eddiebravo10p for your support, it means the world. 🙏❤️💪#Believe2Believe #10p4l

Watch the clock at 2:22 Heather takes a shot and that’s when Alexa’s knee hits her eye. And breaks the orbital bone. Heather pops back up and fights thru the end of the round. Coach Follis knew Heather could fight and protect herself and let the fight continue. Heather was very grateful she continued to fight and he didn’t let her quit on herself. He knew she could still fight. After the fight Heather sat in the hotel lobby with coach Eddie Bravo eating chocolate cake and listening to him talk about starting 10th Planet. Not knowing then Heather would one day own a 10th Planet of her own. #Believe2Believe by @heatherjoclark

Coach @heatherjoclark fought Alexa Grasso at UFC Fight Night 98 in Mexico City on November 5, 2016. That night was also coach Robert Follis’s birthday. The night before the fight Heather cut her lip with a large knife she had in her room for cutting veggies fight week. She cut it while cutting off the weight in bracelet. You can see the cut on her lip when she’s getting in the cage. This was just one of the adversity’s of this fight. The first round she was also hit in the eye with Alexa’s knee when she took a shot. And that blinded her for many minutes. She came back to the corner and said she couldn’t see. Coach Follis told her to be quiet so the ref didn’t stop the fight. And told her to wait. It will come back. The fight went the distance. Not a great fight but Heather was pleased she didn’t quit and learned how to once again deal with adversity. Winning wasn’t about getting her hand raised. It was about learning how to weather the storm. Not all of us are made to be UFC champs. Heather is grateful she had years competing with the best and living a dream many only think about. #Believe2Believe #FollisMMA by @heatherjoclark

No matter how much you train, some might just aren’t your night. XFC 12/7/12 coach @heatherjoclark vs Stephanie Eggink. Heather was a blue belt and she was a purple belt at the time. Heather made a lot of bad choices this fight. But never gave up! She never gave up in any fight! No matter if she had broken orbitals, knees, arms… she didn’t believe in quitting. You had to put her out. And that never happened. Heather’s jiu jitsu got so much better after this fight. She was shown all the holes in my game. #Believe2Believe by @heatherjoclark

May 2013 Coach @heatherjoclark got her first Bellator right vs her arch nemesis Felice Herrig. The 1st round gets to the ground quickly and held there. But round 2, Heather breaks her radius bone in half in her right arm. She continues to fight through it and ends ups loosing a split decision. These are the fights that shaped coach Heathers life. Not winning this fight, and fighting through a broken arm created much more strength than an easy win would have. #mma #10p4l by @heatherjoclark
