Tonight @chrissyrae218 was promoted to Blue Belt. She has 296 sessions in just a little over a year on the mats. She’s competed 2x and was medalist both times. She brings a warmth and enthusiasm to the gym. Chrissy is often the only woman on the mats with all the sweaty guys. But always leaves with a big smile on her face. Congrats Chrissy!! Blue belt status!!! #10p4l 💙💙💙

Watch the clock at 2:22 Heather takes a shot and that’s when Alexa’s knee hits her eye. And breaks the orbital bone. Heather pops back up and fights thru the end of the round. Coach Follis knew Heather could fight and protect herself and let the fight continue. Heather was very grateful she continued to fight and he didn’t let her quit on herself. He knew she could still fight. After the fight Heather sat in the hotel lobby with coach Eddie Bravo eating chocolate cake and listening to him talk about starting 10th Planet. Not knowing then Heather would one day own a 10th Planet of her own. #Believe2Believe

Coach @heatherjoclark fought Alexa Grasso at UFC Fight Night 98 in Mexico City on November 5, 2016. That night was also coach Robert Follis’s birthday. The night before the fight Heather cut her lip with a large knife she had in her room for cutting veggies fight week. She cut it while cutting off the weight in bracelet. You can see the cut on her lip when she’s getting in the cage. This was just one of the adversity’s of this fight. The first round she was also hit in the eye with Alexa’s knee when she took a shot. And that blinded her for many minutes. She came back to the corner and said she couldn’t see. Coach Follis told her to be quiet so the ref didn’t stop the fight. And told her to wait. It will come back. The fight went the distance. Not a great fight but Heather was pleased she didn’t quit and learned how to once again deal with adversity. Winning wasn’t about getting her hand raised. It was about learning how to weather the storm. Not all of us are made to be UFC champs. Heather is grateful she had years competing with the best and living a dream many only think about. #Believe2Believe #FollisMMA
